I am selling my 1993 Mercedes 190E Sport-line. It is in Good Condition. It runs very strong, all in very good shape all around. I was restoring it, and just don't have the time anymore. A little history

To celebrate the final year of 190e production, Mercedes Benz created 700 Limited Edition cars - all in Gloss Black with Black Leather/Red Accents Interior. Original MSRP was approx. $37,000 in 1993.

The AMG history recites:

1993: The first vehicle jointly developed with Daimler-Benz goes on sale in Europe--the C36 AMG. AMG is registered as a trademark.

1993: AMG components available through M-B dealerships in the U.S.

1995: C36 AMG type approved for sale in the U.S.

-However, Sportline cars were available here in '92 and '93 -- the '92 (presumably first available in the Fall of 1991) would predate the European development of the C36, the registration of the AMG trademark and the '93 "availability of AMG components" through US M-B dealers.

-Did AMG supply the Sportline components to the M-B factory for M-B installation in the 190Es (as distinct from the current production of AMG cars where the body shell is shipped back and forth between the AMG and M-B factories and the separate staff of AMG and M-B each do their own work on their portion of the car)?

-Mercedes Benz recently awarded the 190e "Young Classic" status, meaning they expect nice examples to greatly appreciate in value.

very rare to find any more that aren’t rusted out or worse “messed” (modified) with. The car has never been raced or track driven. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to restore the car and don’t anticipate being able to get to it for an extended period of time. These cars are going up in value and will continue to do so.

The following is my best (honest) assessment of the car. The car does need some work to be a reliable driver, and obviously the cosmetics (paint) need attention to be restored, restore or drive either way it is a great platform to start with. I believe the photo’s are representative of the current condition. There is no rust (other than a small spot on the trunk, passenger side where the wing attaches to the trunk lid, but other than that no body rot – the car is solid.

Exterior:

-Paint/Body: Paint is in good condition all around no accidents original.

-Headlight/fog surrounds were replaced a few years back. Windshield was a crack line towards the bottom doesn't affect vision, all other glass is in good condition

-Wheels: Custom Mercedes 7x15 alloys, Like New as you see in the picture.

Interior:

-Dash has cracks, door cards overall good

-Carpet is in very good condition.

-Seats werereupholestered, electrical/power adjustment to seats fully functional….see pictures.

-Windows: Are in working order.

-Headliner: Excellent condition.

Mechanicals:

-Engine: Overall the engine runs well.

-Automatic Transmission – no problems (known) rans, shifts up and down smoothly.

-Self Leveling Suspension: In place and functional.

-Air Conditioning: All parts / pieces in place, non-functional has a new A/C Compressor .

-Antennae/Mast: Functional.

-Sunroof: Non-Functional

-Brakes: No idea of what is left on the pads/rotors, has not been checked recently due to lack of use of the car. The ABS light is on, which I believe is due to the ABS sensors needing to be replaced.

-Gauges/Instruments: Water temp gauge currently working – Oil pressuregauge notworking, not sure why exactly. All other gauges including stop watch fully functional. Odometer and mileage is actual and Fully Functional.

Payments: A deposit of $500.00 USD must be paid within 24 hours of the close of the listing. Email or eBay message me to make arrangements to make the deposit. You can wire transfer or Paypal the deposit (any add on fee’s for using those services are your responsibility). The remainder balance must be paid in full within three (3) business days.
