You are viewing a beautiful example of this 1982 Mercedes 240 D with a Rare 4 speed manual transmission and only 97,488 miles. The car is a 2 owner car and has lived in Arizona for the past 6 years. The car is 100 % rust free and and very solid top to bottom.
The color of the car is called Orient Red . The paint is very glossy and looks amazing. It has only a few minor imperfections but nothing major to mention. It show's very well and has no clear issues or checking or cracking in paint. No dent's or scratches.
The palamino MB text is also excellent. The seats are very firm and have no wear on them . The interior is not faded and looks exceptional for it's age. The dash is pristine with no cracks. the wood is very nice and glossy . The carpet is very clean and stain free. headliner and door panels are all excellent as well. This car was always garaged kept and it show's .
Inside the car you will notice the 4 speed as you open the door . It has a new leather shift boot and just is a glory to drive . The climate control switches from Heat to Ice cold Ac. The car has cruise control and the Original Becker Europa radio with cassette and power antenna all working properly.
Mechanically she is a Gem. The car was always serviced and the oil was changed every 3 k miles using shell Rotella 15/40. I just recently serviced the car and it needs nothing. I had the Valves adjusted and also polished the valve cover and oil filler cap and installed a new gasket. The original fuel lines still have the zinc coating on them and they look amazing with the polished valve cover and oil filler cap. New fuel fliters, new Oil filter and fresh oi, New air filte, 4 new tires and also the brakes are new. The suspension was checked by my Mb Tech and there are no issues to mention. Its very tight and make no noises. When you start the car you will notice the engine to be super quiet and it runs like a watch. taking off and shifting the manual transmission is amazing giving the car much more power then the automatic model did . The transmission shifts so smooth and even with the Ac on the car drives down the highway at 75 with no issues. I would drive this car to California tomorrow.
If you have been searching for a w 123 sedan in a manual then you just found the car. With the color combo being so Rare and stunning and having only 97 k miles makes this car truly collectible and will outlast it's owner. There are reports that in Africa they have 240 D 's with over 4 million kilometers and still going. This car get's nearly 40 MPG and truly will never let you down.

I have a clear car fax and the auto check scores very high No accident's or issues and miles is documented on both.
Car comes with clean title, 3 original keys with books and service. Full size spare and tools are in trunk.There was a reflection from the shade behind me when taking the pictures .the paint is all the same and there is no issues . I took closeups of each door to show the constistancy .
