The car looks properly menacing in black on black, and appears to be super well preserved, too. Factory widened fenders offer only a subtle hint to the 385 HP on tap.

The car showsnicely in all photographs, with color-matched two-pieceAMGwheels filling the wide fenders nicely, and paint shining deeply. Clear corner lenses might not be for everyone, but they’re much more appropriate here than on just about any other 124 platform car.The front end looks to be free of stone chips and all trim remains in place as well.

The interior remains unmodified aside from an aftermarket head unit and a pair of simply massivefoam-covered speakers in the door panels. Sisal mats with a cool checkerboard pattern line the floor, and heavily bolstered Recaro sport seats look to be in excellent condition as does the AMG specific steering wheel. A cupholder looks to have been fitted in the passenger side footwell.

Gone is the standard inline six in favor ofabored-out 6.0 liter, quad cam version of MB’sM117 V8, with output in the neighborhood of 385 HP and over 400 lb. ft. of torque on tap. Performance was measured during the era at around five seconds flat to 60 MPH, fast enough to best some of itsmoreexotic, Italian, and mid-engined competitors.

No maintenance is mentioned in the listing, but the engine bay appears tidyand well kept, and partial service history documentation is included.
