I would describe this particular example as close to a flawless Concours level example of a W107 roadster as I have ever seen.
Please take the time to examine the over 150 photos below, and be advised that pre-purchase inspections are welcome and encouraged at my facility.
Original owner is a orthopedic surgeon and owned from 1984-2013. He utilized this car only for fair weather weekend driving.
The vehicle was always garage kept in a climate controlled garage and covered when not in use, and was regularly dealer serviced with receipts.
Second owner was a collector also from Erie, Pa and purchased this vehicle from the physician in 2013 and continued to maintain the vehicle in a climate controlled facility.
The vehicle was serviced twice at Contemporary Motorcars in Erie, Pa (Authorized Mercedes Benz Dealership) with receipts from 2013-2015.
Mechanically the car is in excellent condition with all power options function 100%.
The engine runs smooth and shifts beautifully through all the gears.
The AC blows ice cold through all the proper vents and original Becker AM/FM head unit sounds great.
The vehicle comes with a binder of all service related receipts and documentation from both previous owners.
Cosmetically I would describe the vehicle as being in near Concours level all original condition.
You will be extremely hard pressed to find a nicer 380SL !!!
All original exterior Light Ivory Paint (Code 623) has a show quality finish with barely any imperfection to disclose.
Exterior bright work is extremely clear and has mirror like shine.
All rubber trim is soft and pliable with no fading.
OEM 14" wheels are near flawless, and the vehicle wears newer Michelin tires on all four corners.
Both hard-top and OEM brown soft-top are in flawless condition and look as if they were never used.
The interior literally looks just like it did on the showroom floor in 1984 !!!
The original Palomino leather seats show literally no wear, and I presume that they must have been originally covered in sheepskin seat covers.
Carpeting is like new all around with no stains and still has a new car sheen.
Burlwood inlays have no cracks and mirror like shine.
Even the original floor mats from 1984 are meticulously clean.
Original unused spare tire, first aid kit, as the OEM tools which have never been removed from the plastic bag.
The vehicle's engine bay looks like it did back in 1984 with brightly plated components and original factory decals and markings in place.
The undercarriage is amazingly clean with factory markings present as well as the original stamp on the original muffler.
Original books and manuals, hard top keys, 3 original keys, original bill of sale and all paperwork from new are still with the vehicle.
Also included with the sale is an aluminum hard-top stand, hard top cover and a custom car cover.
This is a blue chip investment grade example of a w107 Roadster.
The vehicle looks as if it was enclosed in a time capsule.
