This car has been garage kept its' entire life and it shows!This car has never been restored in any way.
However the vehicle has always had Mercedes service throughout its' life with a open check book.
Many of the typical W123 chassis problems you won't find with this car.
The paint is original and very nice, with no peeling, fading, ect.
The interior is like brand new and a good look at it, one would assume the car is brand new. No cracks in the dash, worn buttons, seat wear, ect. Moreover there is no erosion of the foam seat padding, which is actually odd considering the car is almost 40 years old.
The car starts right up with the glow plug light on for a few seconds, and runs great. Shifts great, brakes just serviced, ect.
A look in the trunk shows the original unused spare and associated hardware and candidly, it does not appear the trunk was ever used!
A look in the engine compartment reveals a very neat, leak free engine bay that has not been detailed. It's very nice to see all the gold anodized finishes on the injection lines and other hardware. Typically, these finishes are very fragile and typically disappear with a few power washes or any exposure to the elements.
This car is ready to go, with no excuses.
Tires are 90% and within a safe (2 years old) date code.
This 300D has been lovingly cared for and is likely the lowest mile 300D for sale in the country.Check out my other auction for my 39k mile 1987 300D
There are very few #1-#2 unrestored original low mileage 300D.s left.
This is a prime example at any price.
