Rare very nice condition 0 accidents or issues. 1987 300SDL Turbo Diesel. 205,000 Miles. Very clean interior, leather, power everything (seats, windows, sunroof, etc). Very nice running and driving vehicle with great pickup on the highway. Has had a lot of recent services this year listed below. Rare to find these long wheelbase vehicle in this shape for a good price. If your looking at these cars this is one that will continue to stick in your head for the price. Power steering filter and fluid changed
Fuel system serviced (2 cans of diesel purge run full strength direct into the IP)
Main fuel filter and prefilter changed
Brake fluid system low pressure flushed
Exhaust muffler replaced
Oil and filter replaced (synthetic)
Air filter replaced
Powerkleen tank cleaner added to fuel
Powerkleen algae prevention added to fuel
Powerkleen lubrication additive added to fuel
Thermostat and gasket replaced
Coolant drained, flushed, and filled (genuine Mercedes-Benz blue coolant and distilled water same time as thermostat)
Brake pads and rotors serviced.
The good:
Currently registered and being driven. Great condition no leaks. Engine starts right up with no hesitation. Has tons of power on the highway. New fluids. Recent service. This car has amazing brakes. No rust under the car. Near perfect interior with no cracks in the dashboard or on the seats. Clean interior no stains. All ofthe doors close solid with ease. All switches, seat controls etc work. Power everything, memory seats, Airbag. Has never had any sunroof leaks. 0 water leaks or moisture buildup inside the car. Car kept indoors for most of its life. All lights work. Sunroof works smooth as butter. Heat works nice and hot, Air conditioning works and blows cold. Stereo works (aftermarket installed stock radio also included with sale) all original books, MB first aid kit. Still has good tire tread depth and brakes. When running on diesel purge the engine is smooth as can be as if it where brand new, that’s what you want from a turbo diesel. This engine is stamped with a #20 head as I heard they are desirable. Im sure that Im missing some things. I will have the vehicle professionally detailed inside and out for the buyer.
The bad:
Driver side rear window doesn’t go down (never investigated the cause should be simple), 2 small minor body panel rust spots, none anywhere else (see photos). A few minor dents (less then dime size check photos). Exhaust smokes a little at idle (dark not white and only smoke a little nothing major), it is a diesel (probably old injectors). Rear antenna recently broke.
