1989 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 560SL convertible

Up for sale 1989 Mercedes 560sl dream car!, Great running project for restore or parts. very popular year of 560sl production with all bells, whistles and Airbag option! 141k on the clock with clean/clear title. I don't knowany history, purchased from the shop owner went out of business few years ago, based on info from previous owner the car was daily driver until they lots the ignition key.. currently it needs some restoration work that reflect low price, SOLD strictly " AS IS" with no warranties. . I don't want to be one of those guys that's lets it rot away while muttering "ill finish it one day" Great opportunity for SL enthusiasts.

Engine/ transmission are in good condition. ( motor running extremely rich and dumping raw gas into exhaust due possible leak from cracked vacuum tubes, idles high and occasionally hard to start and would not stay running )

Suspension seems nice, tires holds air, body has slight surface rust and clear coat is peeling off but rest of the body is pretty solid.

Interior/seats are in good shape for its age, no tears. ( few lose trim and missing window switch, no radio, some wires needs to be reconnected)

Got new key made and ignition switch (cost $800 from the dealer) car starts with key, but it may need new starter solenoid in near future.

Brake pedal sink, car stops but definitely needs some brake related work. (due to sitting )

Turn signals plastic lens chipped, there is no power to dash and windows (pw motors works)

All glass windows and dashboard in excellent shape no cracks.

Solid hard top and soft top ( blue ) convertible in excellent shape.

Over all please keep in mind this car require some restoration to make it roadworthy again!
