1991 Mercedes 300 Diesel With a 5 speed manual conversion Done in 2010. Have put 30k miles on the car since i did the conversion. The transmission was fully rebuilt with 5 new line bearings. Also 5 new syncros installed while i was in there, i also rebuilt the shifter mechanism. Gearing is very low so it gets very good MPG. At 80 MPH your tach is at 2500 RPM 2000 RPM your doing 65. Very smooth relaxing ride. Trailer hitch for a small aluminum boat! There are none of these cars made. Its the only Manual in the USA. The car has been eibach lowered all,,, i mean every suspension & steering parts replaced with oem. Bilsteins struts in front Kby in back, new front wheel bearings also Full Valve job, timing chain Lower and upper gears and guides replaced,new oem vacuum pump also. I also honed the cyls and did a re-ring 2015. All the crank and rod bearings were replaced The engine is well balanced and is smooth at 4000 rpm. The window wiper mechanism has been rebuilt. Its been my daily driver for 3 years. I love this car but i have so many nice cars Its time to let it go. All the windows work. The power front seats work. There is a small worn hole in the drivers bolster seat area. The headliner is out of the car and needs to be put back in. All the tires are good and the 2 rears are new. spare is also new. Kenwood stereo sounds great with MP3 input. The car was repainted 3 years ago and the paint job cost me 2600. its not a cheap one with 2 tone gold its classy. Gets 39mpg when i drive it around town. I imagine it would get well over 40 highway Doesnt smoke runs perfect was originally a ca car and has a documented new engine in 96, No rust at all, needs nothing but a driver. Pick it up and drive it to california. And then another 600,000 miles.
BUT MOST IMPORTANT IS NO INSPECTION REQUIRED!!! Safety inspection only!!!! there is no check engine light in this car to light up!!
