Low Mileage 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250S White Sedan with Black Interior Hard Top
1967 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series
VERY RARE CAR!
This 1967 Mercedes Benz 250S is a gorgeous, 2 owner car with only 39,432 miles - something almost impossible to find for a car of it’s age. This particular hard-top sedan has options that are sought after in 2016, such as a sunroof and power windows. It drives like a Mercedes should, and after spending a short amount of time on it’s phenomenal suspension you will fall in love with her. The torque is delivered through the Inline 6 with dual Webster carburetors in a buttery-smooth way. This car has had two owners before being traded in to our dealership, and is in immaculate condition. There is no rust to report, and the pictures speak to themselves. Feel free to contact us with any questions, or to ask for more pictures, or to orchestrate a trade for your current vehicle. Here is an original 1967-era Mercedes-Benz write up for the 250S:
If you are a good driver now, your 250S will make you a better one. It is an almost incredibly responsive car. The 250S measures two feet shorter than its major rivals, which seem more concerned with status than performance. There is a minimum of front and rear overhang. Weight has been kept to a trim 3,175 pounds.
According to Road & Track, magazine, this suspension “offers a combination of riding comfort and stability that is the standard for comparison” A hydropneumatic compensating spring has been built into the rear axle. No sagging stern when you add heavy loads to the trunk. The road-holding cause is further bolstered by 4-ply, high-speed tires.
Mercedes engineers scorn the idea of making fully effective brakes an extra-cost option. With 4-wheel disc brakes as standard equipment, the 250S makes sure stopping power a certainty under all driving conditions.
Even the threat of a rear-wheel lock-up is diminished: a pressure-limiting valve in the break system helps distribute braking forces evenly between front and rear discs.
Sixteen gauges of sheet metal help form its unit-type body, welded at 10,000 points (virtually eliminating rattles) and then hand-sanded, filed and buffed for three hours. Under the paint are 24 pounds of primer. Under the floor, 24 more pounds of undercoating. Even the insides of the rocker panels are lined with zinc. And even the insides of the hub caps get a primer coat.
No matter how far the destination, you and your passengers will arrive relaxed in the 250S. “The seats are as good as any in the world”, writes the Editor of Car and Driver magazine. They were designed with the aid of orthopedic physicians, to support your body properly and thus ward off muscle fatigue. You enjoy a shade more head-room than in a Lincoln Continental, and a shade more shoulder room than in an Oldsmobile Toronado. Inside and out, the 250S is a nitpicker’s despair. The fourth and final paint coat is hand-sprayed and hand-rubbed. Even the underside of the dash is fully trimmed and finished.
