1986 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

For sale is my 1986 Mercedes 300SDL (turbo diesel). 116,000 miles. Light ivory exterior with palomino leather interior. Original paint. This car was purchased new by a businessman in Fullerton who owned the car until I purchased it in 2013 with 98,000 miles. He had garaged the car its entire life and it was in excellent condition. He also gave me a binder filled with maintenance records.
I've done extensive maintenance on the car over the past two years and 18,000 miles. All maintenance has been performed by my Mercedes mechanic, lassic German Motors, n Pasadena, A, nd includes the following:
-Replaced radiator, /C compressor & dryer, /C push button control, ower steering pump, tarter, urbo, reak rotors & pads, ood pad
-Transmission replaced (Sun Valley Mercedes Transmissions)
-Injection pump removed, ebuilt & recalibrated with new injector tips
-The following suspension components were replaced: rear sway bar links, pper shock mount bushings, ront suspension lower ball joints
-The head was removed, ressure tested (no cracks) and cylinder head gasket replaced
-A new OEM Mercedes windshield was installed to replace the original cracked windshield
I also sent the factory radio back to Becker Autosound to be rebuilt. They added an aux input so a phone or iPod can be plugged in and played (via headphone jack).
I looked at a bunch of SDLs before I purchased this one, nd this was the cleanest and lowest model car that I could find. I then spent a lot of time and money getting the deferred maintenance caught up. As a result, his car runs and drives amazing, s my mechanic will attest.
A little over a year ago, got a company car, nd this car has been driven very little since then. It just doesn't make sense for me to have a second car anymore.
If you are local, ou are welcome and encouraged to have a mechanic check the car out. If you are looking for and know anything about these cars, ou know that the 6 cylinder diesels from 1986 and 1987 are rare, nd I can guarantee you almost impossible to find in this condition. With all of the maintenance that I've put into this car, would expect it to run for many years and miles with very little required maintenance.
The car is currently parked at Classic German Motors, ho has agreed to assist me with selling it.
