Description:

1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata

1991 Mazda Miata MX-5 convertible. Possible the best, nicest original Mazda Miata MX-5 that you will ever find!
Bought new here in Phoenix, Arizona by a super perfectionist who drove the car 1000 miles a year on the average but who spent more time in the garage cleaning and keeping the car in shape than he did actually driving it. And it never left the Phoenix area.He passed away 18 months ago and his sister got the Miata. She has never driven the car, she left it in her other brothers garage until selling it to me.
The car has less than 32.000 very careful miles on it, the sister said her brother would sometimes go for drives early Sunday mornings and he loved to take it to parades and shows. The car won best in class 5 years at a local show.
The car is absolutely original and untouched except for all the upgrades he spent money on (he bought a lot of nice stuff for his car).-Jackson Racing cold air intake,-Jackson racing exhaust with headers and Hi flow cat and muffler,-shock tower brace,-aluminum billet roadster pedals,-Jackson racing spark plug wires,-front and rear chassis braces,-aftermarket fuel door,-smoked turn signals,-Protective front grille,-front and rear mud guards,-aluminum door pulls,-dash cover,-Mazda aluminum sill plates,-rear interior brace,-Nardi shift knob,-trunk carpet kit,-visor lights,-the seats have had Mazda covers on them since day one,-remote oil filter kitplus much more.-On the floor he put Mazda floor mats to protect the carpet and to protect the mats he put a second layer of mats, the second layer never got dirty either. He liked to spend money on his car!!!
The original conv top looks like it is a week old but it is the original, 32 year old convertible top. It is like new like the rest of the car.
He bought a tonneau cover, not that the car was ever driven in bad weather. And he bought a small car cover that would cover the windshield and convertible top to the rear window and a second car cover that covers the whole car.The Mazda never spent any time outdoor except when he took it out for a drive it but the covers would protect his Miata from any possible speck of dust in his (super clean) garage!
In my pictures you can see how incredible nice and clean he kept his car all the time, the only thing I did before taking the pictures was to remove a very light coat of dust on the exterior body after 18 months in the garage, I have not cleaned the car in the door jambs or under the hood, it always looked like it had never been driven.
When he had the timing belt replaced 6000 miles ago, not because of high mileage but due to age he labeled the old belt with the mileage and the date and kept it with everything else for the car.
After buying the Miata new he framed the window sticker and hung it on his wall! It is of course included in the sale.
All documentation, service invoices, emission testing records etc were carefully put in a binder and the documents look like they have never been touched by human hands! Like I said, he was a perfectionist.
There's handwritten lists of parts he bought, when, from whom, who installed them at what mileage etc.And a pad with handwritten notes on every service he had done like oil changes, air filters etc from day one until he passed away. When it was time for new tires (due to age) he researched and compared a lot of tires and all tire info he printed out is still with the car.
There's a fair amount of parts, some in boxes that goes with the car including a conv top boot that looks like new (of course).
There's no such thing as a perfect car but this Miata has to be as close as you can get.
The car is in Phoenix, Arizona.
A $2000 deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance is due within 7 days.
We have sold classic cars and parts worldwide since 1986 so export is never a problem.

I had 3 questions. 1, is there clear coat damage on the hood??? NO, it's the reflection of a big white trailer parked next to the Miata. 2, Are the seats ripped??? NO, the seats have been covered since new and the covers are still on the seats. I will remove them and take pictures. 3, how much am I asking to do a sale now? I don't have a buy it now price because I am not sure what is a fair price but I am open to reasonable offers.

Guess I should add that the Miata has had one owner from day one until he passed away. The car was willed to his sister who never drove it but she had to put it in her name and when I bought the car she insisted I put it in my name so technically it has had 3 registered owners. But the original owner is the only person driving the car. I drove it around 20 miles after buying it to make sure everything was still fine after 18 months in the garage and I took it through emission testing while driving it. So it has fresh emissions testing.
