1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata

1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata. The good:Engine starts right up and purrs like a kitten.Nice, tight manual transmission. Shifts well.Brand new convertible top.No frame rust - southern car since at least 2000.Upholstery in good condition for its age.Fairly new alternator, radiator, fuel pump and battery.Decent tires and nice aftermarket rims.Driven entirely by non-smokers.
The not-so-good:Headlight motors are bad. I bought a replacement for the driver's side but haven’t installed it. Then the passenger side went out.The driver's side power window motor is bad. Again, I bought a replacement but haven’t installed it. The buyer of the car gets these parts.Original paint is very faded. There are several dings, minor dents and scratches consistent with its age.The brakes are a little weak but fully functional.Aftermarket radio which is a piece of junk. It's a very old car that has been driven. It is not perfect. It doesn't smell like a new car.
Check out the photos for the dings and surface rust at the door windows.
This is a super fun car to drive. It just doesn’t fit our family’s needs anymore. Kind of hate to see it go. My sister bought it in about 2000, then gave it to another sister several years later who gave it to me 5-6 years ago. A family heirloom.
Don’t bid if you can’t pay. The sale is not contingent upon your ability to get financing. I’ll accept cash or a good check that clears before the car leaves my property. If you come to pick it up and it doesn’t meet your expectations, no problem. You can leave without it. However, when the cash gets into my hand, the car is yours. No refunds.
Bid high and bid often.
