1980 Mazda RX-7

I purchased this in September 2014 from the original owner who bought it new from Pfeifer Motors Corp., asbrouck Hgts. N.J. in September 1980. I have the original owners manual, indow sticker and bill of sale amongst other documentation. I've put approximately 1000 miles on it over the last year. Garage kept by original owner and during winter with me, therwise with car cover (included). The original owner took exceptional care of this vehicle as have I.It has a two rotor 70 ci engine with 4 barrel carburetor and 5 speed manual transmission. Flip up headlights, ower antennae and quartz clock all work. Super clean in and out and runs great. It does has the typical rotorary smoke at start up but that's it. It puts out 100 horsepower which isnt bad for a 2300 lb car. It's fun to drive. Manual steering and manual windows/locks. Power front disc/rear drum brakes. Original spare. Clear title.
When I got it I had the A/C professionally converted from R12 to R134 and it works as it should. I also had new KYB rear shocks and a new Idler arm installed on the advice of Cappas Foreign Car Specialists. They did the work as well as A/C conversion. I had Mufflex install a new Racing Beat cat-back, ounds less tinny than the stock one which I still have and is included.
It has new 15" Konig Rewind rims with Hankook Ventus V2 Concept all season tires with under 1000 miles on them. I purchased it with 13" Rial rims (see photos) which I also have and are included (older Pirelli tires on same which should be replaced). It has a Grant Mahogany/Aluminum steering wheel and custom made Mahogany shift knob. (Original leather wrapped wheel and knob included) New Redline Products leather shift boot and E-brake boot (original included). Factory stereo works ok. New K&N rechargeable air filter. Racing Beat air filter housing included (never installed). Whiteline front tower brace. Three keys included. The car runs, rives, hifts and stops as it should. It's 35 years old. The interior is a little faded but still real nice. The paint is starting to show its age but from 15 feet away it looks real nice.
I have it registered as historic so I can't attest to the cars ability to pass an emissions test as it was not required. Any questions or areas of concern feel free to reach out. I'd take additional photos for any specific area of concern. No real rust or accident damage. Small spot inside the jamb of rear hatch about size of dime. Minor dent in roof from bike tire I lost hold of momentarily.
It had it appraised for insurance purposes in September 2014 and came in at $9500.00. Certified copy included. Reserve is nowhere near that. Vehicle is sold AS IS with no warranty! Thanks for looking!
