1993 Mazda RX-7

Up for sale is this stunningly beautiful example of the otherworldly third generation Mazda RX7.
This is a one adult owner, high mileage, modified and well maintained example of the twin turbo rotary powered Mazda FD sports car. Equipped with JDM non sequential turbos, Greddy intake and intercooler, cat delete, a locker rear end and other go fast goodies. Apexi tuned to 400 horsepower. This car is brutally fast.
Its also in excellent cosmetic condition with only a few areas of wear. So many of these cars have interiors that are literally falling apart. Not this one. And the respray was done to a high standard a few years ago and presents very, very well. The Enkei GTSpec wheels are rare and look great on this car. Stowed in the spare well is the business end of a killer Alpine sound system. Hi quality indoor car cover and original owner's manual included.
Unlike other Japanese two seaters of the day, the RX7 was never really considered a sports touring car. It was and is a pure sports car that is more viper than vette. It is loud, firm, and under heavy foot can be a handful to the uninitiated.
This car is in good working order with the exception of the AC which is an R12 system that will need to be sorted and charged or converted to R134. If driven with restraint this car is generally tractable around town, but good luck with that. Under spool this thing is absolutely addictive and requires your full and undivided attention.
Respray, rebuild and mods completed at approximately 115,000 miles in 2009. Currently 119,000. Car has seen little use since 2013, covered and stored in climate controlled building. Tires look good but are old and should be replaced if you plan to fly in and drive it away. Owner states the build was done by a rotary expert once but no longer affiliated with Rotary Performance in the Dallas area. Sorry, the documentation supporting the rebuild and mods is lost, please don't ask. Mechanic recently gave it a clean bill of health but says it NEEDS TO BE DRIVEN !!!
Japanese cars of this era are gaining interest among enthusiasts and collectors, seeing strong appreciation in the market. Buying at current levels in any condition, so long as they are not abused or wrecked should make for a solid (and very fun) investment.
