This 1981 Mazda RX-7 GS is in impeccable original condition with ONLY 56, 491 ORIGINAL MILES on the odometer. The Series 2 (1981â€"1983) had integrated plastic-covered bumpers, wide black rubber body side moldings, wraparound taillights and updated engine control components. While marginally longer overall, the new model was 135 lb (61 kg) lighter in federalized trim. The four-speed manual option was dropped and replaced by the very popular 5 speed for 1981 as well, while the gas tank grew larger and the dashboard was redesigned, including a shorter gear stick mounted closer to the driver for the optimal driving experience.
