1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata

If you are a road racer, if you just want to be or if you simply want the fastest car in town here is the car. This is a 1994 Monster Miata built specifically to be raced but with the creature comforts to get you to the track. This car has functional AC, PW, PM and cruise although that has been disconnected for the track, I understand simply reconnecting the cable to the pedal and you are good to go. The car has recently been made much more street friendly with the change to factory OEM shocks and springs but the V-Maxx Track Packs are included. OEM give a little more ride height and a much smoother ride. This car was built by McCully Racing and has 22k miles on the V8 conversion, much of that on the track as can be seen in video on the V8 Mazda website. The engine, a 331 stroker built by McCully Racing Motors is 11:1 with a Scat forged assembly, H beam rods, forged pistons, E303 cam, ported GT40 heads, Crane 1.6 rollers, GT40 lower intake, BBK 75 mm throttle body, port matched EGR spacer, BBKhigh flow rails all 6AN fed. FI is controlled by a Megasquirt 2 and BBKfuel pressure regulator with gauge. The car has a Mustang AC compressor integrated to the Mazda AC and it is cold, Mazda PS pump powered by modified 4 rib crank pulley along with wrapped Monster Miata headers and full exhaust. A Howe aluminum radiator is used with dual fans along with a large nose mounted oil cooler. Flywheel is billet steel, clutch is Centerforce, Mustang GT billet shifter on a Mustang WC T5 transmission and an aluminum driveshaft. Rear is a Ford 7.5 with 3.08 gears and an Eaton True Track along with Monster Miata axles and spacers. Brakes are Wilwood front, Miata Sport rear, Hawk HPS pads, Corrado rotors and wheels are TR Motorsport C1 15x8 20mm offset. Front sway bar is Racing Beat Hollow, rear is stock Sport. Gauges are GT40 by Rev Limiter and Auto Sport Comp. All switches have been changed to protected toggles and there is a new yellow top Optima battery along with a real trailer hitch to tow the race tire trailer to the track. Tires are 225/45R15 Hankook RS3, roll bar is Hard Dog, top is new Robbins Glass Window, hood uses Aero Catch latches and Planet Miata hood lift kit. There is much more to this car, it is brutally fast, make lots of noise and the rearTorsen whines a little, it has no radio but does have speakers and an electric antenna if one is desired. This is a car for an experienced driver, not the car to give your son or daughter to take to college, that would end badly I am sure. Reserve has been dropped to way below cost to accommodate a sale, winter is approaching and storage will be a problem. As always and more so this time around, no test pilots. Might swap for something equally foolish or not. Prefer pre-1940 cars, vintage aircraft and motorcycles.
