Available for sale by owner is this wonderful 1989 Esprit SE. All factory original (except where noted) and unmolested, this car has the original 4-cylinder intercooled turbo with solid state distributor-less ignition and electronic fuel injection. The transmission is the 5-speed non-Citroen variety and shifts smooth and quietly with a new clutch. The cylinder head received new valve guides and timing belt in 2021 and runs smooth and strong with up to 15psi of turbo boost. The exhaust is aftermarket and has a great tone. The suspension and brakes are fine but could use new tires due to age. Exterior is clean and paint is excellent. There is some overspray in the wheel wells so there may have been paint work in the past, or perhaps its factory, I could never tell for certain. The interior has very nice aftermarket leather seats that do not move as far aft as the factory seats so a driver over 5'8" may need to replace the seats. A few noteworthy items include: a missing passenger power window switch and slow window motor, a 3" crack in the lower passenger side of the windshield that was stop-drilled and has not progressed further, A/C works but needs a shot of R134 annually and there is a small oil leak when hot. The car has lots of service records dating back to when it was new and will include a hardcopy of the Lotus Parts Manual and the owners manual.
