The car is basically the same as the factory Elan, but with a much improved engine developed by BRM, a British Formula 1 company. The improvements produced 130 hp and 140 hp. This engine was built to the 140 hp version with Cosworth L1 cams.
The car weighs 1600lbs wet. Restoration was completed in 2005 and odometer currently reads 2596.
Body is painted in correct BRM Green with beautiful premium tan cowhide leather upholstery with Wooten wool carpets. Car has convertible top and tonneau cover
Over $75,000 was spent on restoration parts alone, labor not included. All receipts provided with sale.
Car has been improved considerably with suspension, engine and drive train components. Car is extremely quick and a delight to drive. Restoration was carried out with advice and guidance from an original Mike Spence technician.
