overview:
car was owned by a family member who is now deceased. nobody else in the family knew about cars or had this passion / hobby.
we have had the car appraised, and what parts we have are here and shown in the listing.
we do not see a year on the appraisal, but the family member said this is a 1964 and to the best of our knowledge that is the year.
feel free to ask questions but i will be able to answer very little.
if you're asking something technical, explain it to me like i'm 5 because my car knowledge is very low.
i have included a video of the engine turning over.
all i know how to do is charge the battery and test that, zero knowledge about tuning the rest of the setup.
when the family member was alive they would run this engine on a regular basis.
it has been unused for about 2.5 years since that time.
title status: in deceased family members name. we can help with the transfer process and help document the sale / provide signatures etc.

Lotus Seven Series 2
Vin SB 1469
Body and exterior condition-
This VIN of this car clearly defines it as a series 2. One of the previous owners appears to have backdated the body
and wheels to Series 1 specifications. Cycle type front fenders have been added, though the original fiberglass fenders
are present. In addition, the aluminum skin appears to be new overall, but will need finishing.
Interior trim and upholstery-
The interior is unfinished. The dash needs re-covering but is in very nice condition. Period-correct instruments are present.
Interior panels and wood are refinished or replaced. Since interiors on these cars were very basic, not much work is needed to complete.
Frame, Engine, and Mechanical-
The frame and running gear have been restored and appear to be in very good condition. It is not known when most of this work was completed.
The engine also appears to be fresh from a rebuild. The wheels and tires have been backdated to knockoff wire wheels in Series 1 style.
While attractive, they are not correct.
Summary and valuation-
This is an unusual example of a relatively rare car with a fairly thin market. A lot of high-quality work has gone into restoring the car.
It would not be a huge task to finish the car; but it still nees paint and some bodywork to be fitted. We have used Black book CPI,
sports car market pricing guide, kelley blue book and recent auction results as well as personal experience to help determine the value
of this example. We estimate the fair market value to be $20,000 to $23,000 as of May 2, 2016.
