1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II 68,000 miles 368 V8

Description: 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II powered by the original 368 c.i. Lincoln “Y” block rated at 285 h.p. and backed by the matching 3-speed automatic transmission. The odometer shows 68,124 miles and is verified by the Maryland title.

This car does have a clear title and was running until about a month ago. It is being sold for an estate, so there is very little information on its history.

From what can be determined, the Lincoln was originally a Fairmont Blue with matching blue leather interior and later repainted white. There does appear to be some bodywork in the lower sections of each door and behind the right rear wheel area. There is rust and paint flaking so please look at all the photos carefully and ask questions.

The chrome appears to be salvageable, and all the glass is in good condition except for the driver’s door which is cracked.

The interior does appear to be complete with one of the lower dash panels in the trunk along with extra parts for the engine.

It is not known if the power windows, seats, antenna, or anything electrical does/does not work.

There is what appears to be a “Mark IV” brand after-market A/C system added probably early in the Lincolns life. It, of course, has not been tested.
