1979 Lincoln Mark Series Bill Blass
The Bill Blass Edition Continental Mark seriesBeginning in 1975, and continuing until 1992, Blass lent his talents to theFord Motor Companyfor an edition of theirContinentalMark series of automobiles. In 1976, he shared model configurations withEmilio Pucci,Hubert de Givenchy, andCartier. Each year, as goes true fashion, the interior and exterior color combinations would be updated. One of the most popular was the 1979 edition honoring a nautical theme, as did the Blass logo of the time. Small anchors were incorporated into the exterior accent striping and interior accents within the Blass "back-to-back B" design theme. The 1979 through 1983 Mark series Blass models were available with a "carriage roof" giving a convertible top look to the cars. After 1983, the Bill Blass edition became a color option with rear quarter window model designations and a few features that were options on the standard model.
As you can seefrom thepictures thiscar is striking, beautifullykept and sumptuous, an example of a true survivor.
I am assisting a good friend sell off some of his collection. The car was purchased from an elderly person. My friend has owned this car over thepast 5 years. The 400 c.I. engine starts right up without fault. Appears to be tight with no smoking issues. The transmission shifts through the gears smoothy as they should. The oil and transmission pans were both removed, cleaned out, re painted, and re installed by my mechanic who also replaced some of the bushings in the front end as needed along with all 4 shocks. Distributor cap, spark plugs, sparkplug wires, all belts and hoses along with new master cylinder(all brake fluid flushed) were recently replaced to ensure the best road worthinessfor the new owners. This has been a smoke free and pet free vehicle since his ownership. There has been zero strange smells and or cigarette smoke order since the 5 year ownership, implying the previous owners did not smoke as well.
I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Buyer is responsible for all shipping cost, although I will assist in helping loading process. Inspectors are encouragedand welcomed. Contact at (707)704-8223 - Mike
