1950 Lincoln Other Two tone

Beautifully preserved and maintained in original condition with 76,000 original miles. This classic 1950 Lincoln is a beauty from the Truman-era that is a pleasure to drive and attracts attention wherever she goes. This car is for a buyer seeking a pristine example of an all original Sport Sedan with suicide doors.....your search is over. Originally purchased in California; it has spent its entire rust life here, where it has always been garaged. The original owner possessed the car for 33 years, the current owner(s) for 34 years. The exterior body is very solid, no dents. The Glendale green paint is partially original and in good condition; showing the normal patina of a 73 year old classic, with no scratches and only a few minor dings. The right-side doors have a barely detectable paint color variation, indicating either a factory repair of one by a previous owner (this is a guess as there are no known accidents). Bumpers and chrome are in very good condition, with a scratch over the letter "C" of "Lincoln" on the front bumper. All windows are manually operable and in very good condition. The windshield has chips on the right side. The interior is all original and is pristine. The light brown houndstooth fabric upholstery is complimented by dark brown fabric inserts and dark brown leather armrests. There is wear on the right front door armrest on the underside---The left side dark brown fabric was replaced many years ago. The doors do not have hold open devices. I have looked in the data manual and the parts manual, and there is no indication these cars have door hold open devices. This is the reason for the wear on the underside of the front armrests. It is very easy to rub them when you are getting out of the car. Rear panels are in good condition. Doors, knobs and handles are all in excellent visible and operable condition. The dash and glove box have no scratches. The top of the dash shows paint fading. Gauges, AM radio, Clock, interior lighting, front and rear cigarette lighters all work, the wipers do not.Original 336.7 CI engine has never been rebuilt and runs great. Drive train is solid. Hydramatic 4 speed transmission was rebuilt by a previous owner and functions as it should. No power steering, power brakes, or A/C (car was manufactured before these items were available). Other repairs include: Brake wheel cylinders, flexible lines, and master cylinder, have all been replaced. Right side head gasket replaced in 1989. Radiator re-cored in 2019. Rebuilt carburetor. Water and fuel pumps replaced. Belts, hoses, plugs, points replaced during regular maintenance. Six volt battery is five years old. Hood springs need replacing. Tires are more than 10 years old with little mileage, in good condition with no cracking or age damage. Minor to undetectable undercarriage leaks. This is a beautiful example of a bygone era in automobile design and engineering. Its original condition and pampered life assure that its new caretaker will have a jewel to drive and enjoy!Description is an honest representation of the vehicle. It is being sold "as is".
