Description:

1959 Lincoln Continental

One of only 2,195 produced, our '59 Lincoln is finished in the beautiful Glacier White, which to my knowledge was only offered in that single year.
With power seats, power windows (including that glass rear windshield), power steering, and a power convertible top, this car was the height of luxury in 1959 and it's still just as easy to enjoy today. It floats over every bump in the road, just as you would expect from one of the largest production cars ever sold in America. This is thanks, in part, to a new set of wide whitewall Coker radial tires.
Some of the big cars that we've owned from this era struggled to get moving, but the '59 Continental has no problem with that. Thankfully, driving is a breeze, as power comes from the 430 cubic inch V8, mated to a three-speed Turbo Drive automatic transmission.
So, you can flip that switch to put the top down, put it in drive and cruise down the road in, what I think, is genuinely one of the most beautiful cars ever made, and without a doubt one of most iconic American cars from the late 50s!

In our family now for ten years, we have truly loved this car. It was restored before we purchased it, but finding it sometimes slow to start, we refurbished the fuel system from the tank to the carburetor, and it runs and drives wonderfully at any speed, on any road. Other routine maintenance has been performed regularly, and the only other notable repair was having the radiator re-cored a couple of years ago. There are no worries to speak of when it comes to owning and enjoying this car. One cosmetic detail worth mentioning is that our car has the crack in the clear plastic gauge cover behind the steering wheel, common in '59 Lincolns. I've searched for a replacement, but haven't yet found one.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. I'll be happy to talk with you about the car!
I amnota dealer, and we are selling this car personally after enjoying it for many years. That may or may not be important to some people, but I know there are others out there that really value buying a car from the owner. Thanks for taking a look!
