1969 Lincoln Continental

EDIT: Vehicle has been relisted at the same reserve price; for those who may have been hesitant to bid it's MUCH closer to the starting bid than Buy it Now price, so please understand that I am attempting to be fair and firm.
1969 Lincoln Continental for sale; odometer reads 64,550 miles but it has almost certainly rolled over.I have owned this vehicle for 18 years and have driven it less than 2,000 miles. It starts, runs smoothly, and drives in 3 forward gears and reverse. There are no major running mechanical issues or major fluid leaks. Equipped with 460 V8 engine, C6 automatic transmission, Edelbrock 4-barrel 750cfm carburetor. Transmission was rebuilt approximately 10 years ago, rebuilt (Clearwater Cylinder Head) cylinder heads installed shortly after I purchased the car. It's never been a lowrider/had oversized wheels, or been otherwise abused to my knowledge. I purchased it in the Seattle area, and build sheet shows that this was the geographic market of original delivery.
It has been garaged or in covered parking the whole time I've owned it. There's no major body damage or much cancerous rust (couple of tiny spots under vinyl roof, around rear fenders), although there appears to be prior cosmetic collision damage at right rear fender where paint is checked/flaking. Exterior paint and interior are almost entirely original; leather is still in great shape/soft although drivers seat shows normal wear and tear. Very small tear in vinyl headliner, carpet has some staining on front passenger side. All interior trim is present, and in serviceable condition. Exterior color is a slightly blue off-white, I believe the factory name of the color is Platinum. It's not a heavily optioned car and lacks features such as cruise control, FM or 8-track stereo, auto-dimming headlamps; it is equipped with rear defogger/extractor however, which is pretty rare and functions OK. Factory vacuum power locks have been disconnected and retrofitted with electric locks with keyless remote.
This is a 50 year old luxury car, and in no way should it be assumed that some things will function like in a newer or more basic vehicle. If you are familiar with this generation of Ford/Lincoln/Mercury, then you will be aware that some defects are common. A few things that don't operate properly at times/at all are:
-Power antenna (Bad up/down switch, integral to radio, can probably be repaired. Antenna motor is capable of operation. Factory 2-speaker AM radio will work if antenna is raised.)-Windshield Washers (Wipers will operate continuously when switch is depressed due to bad vacuum switch. Variable speed hydraulic windshield wipers operate properly.)-Power front bench seat is finicky; will operate properly occasionally but not consistently.-Automatic climate control is basically non-functional. Air conditioning compressor does not engage and belts are removed, no refrigerant in A/C system. Blower functions OK as well as air flow directions (defrost/floor/face). I currently have vacuum plumbing set up so temperature is defaulted to heat in any direction.-Power windows (6 including vent/wing windows) work, however wiring in drivers armrest must occasionally be manipulated due to poor switch connection at electrical connectors.-Brake hydraulic warning lamp illuminated last time I moved the car, front half of master cylinder was empty and I have not looked into the root cause.
I have tried to be as honest as possible about the condition of the vehicle, and would love to see it go to a good home. There are many extra parts that the buyer is welcome to take upon purchase, including factory service manuals and rare replacement weather strip/rubber seal kits, seat belts, etc. $500.00 deposit is required within 48 hours of purchase, full purchase price is required within 10 days preferably through Zelle, although money order or cash are acceptable. Local pick-up only, I am available to work with a shipping company of the buyers choice M-F after 5PM Pacific time, or Saturday/Sunday. I would strongly recommend the car be transported simply because it has not been driven extensively in 2-3 years. I am more than happy to answer any additional questions, however serious inquiries only please. Good luck and happy bidding!
