1989 Lincoln Town Car

For sale, this stunning Signature Edition Lincoln Town Car with low miles.I'm the second owner. My mother willed it to me many years ago.Always kept in a garage and never driven in winter, this full option Signature Series sedan runs, drives and steers perfectly.100% rust and accident free, it is pleasent to drive as it is to view.Has a super clean undercarriage with no issues. The massive and fully upholstered trunk has plenty of cargo space for most needs (see photos).Exterior is Midnight Black with Raven Black interior (factory colors).Optional roof fabric top is in excellent condition and cost $700.00 when car was ordered new.Neat glass sun/moon roof was a $1,300.00 option.Leather wrapped steering wheel was an extra $115.00.Other features are power windows, power locks, powered trunk function and motorized up/down antenna.Thick plush carpets and oversized weather seals on doors make it super quiet inside.Big front leather seats envelop you, kind of like that favorite living room chair, which was surely the intention. Those front seats also have 6 way powered adjustment for maximum comfort.Rear seat space is HUGE by todays standards and climbing in feels special.Exterior front and back chrome bumpers are immaculate and free of fading, chrome splitting or pitting.Same for the oversized front grille ( a Town Car trademark).Town Car has newer 15" Bridgestone tires with wider whitewalls, a correct look for a luxury sedan of this style, and with these options.Original factory aluminum spoked (design sometimes called "LACY") mag wheels are well preserved and void of any "curb rash".Fords AOD 4-Speed automatic transmission features a "deep" overdive so it's a great highway cruiser.Newer battery for starting power...every time!I noticed minor delamination (clearcoat lifting, a factory defect over time) on top of hood and trunk.Having 20 years experience restoring vintage vehicles, I decided to repaint the whole exterior. This was done 13 years ago. This is what I did...stripped down all old paint, primed then sanded (many man hours!) down.To keep exterior finish close to original, I used the best PPG automotive paint in Midnight Black, as before.Total cost for project then was close to $4000.00.I imagine cost to do it now would be at least $5000.00 or more. One other thing...original radio volume out. Control knob will not adjusted audio. As you can see in the photos, Town Car has an attractive high shine luster all way around.Turn heads whenever you cruise!Great options and wonderful preservation make this a great car to enjoy, as intended, on the road.Deposit specified will take Town Car off the market so you can inspect it prior to full sale.Inspection is not a problem and is encouraged.
