Description: For Just under a decade, Ford engineered the most iconic classic automobile of all time, the Lincoln Continental. Between the years of 1961 and 1963, the automobile’s overall presentation changed little. Strategically, to increase notoriety and awareness to this chromed-out masterpiece leaving Cadillac and Pontiac in its dust. The new four-door suicide convertible was unheard of at the time, even till this day, only 2,000 produced annually. 1963’s model essentially had all the kinks worked out, such as steering column angle, before metamorphosing itself in 1964 to a very different automobile. This particular beauty spent its entire life on the west coast. Leaving the Detroit factory in October of ‘63, shipped to Los Angeles, then watched over in Oregon by a NASA astronaut before finding a loving home in Scottsdale, Arizona. Though passing through three states, she has seen very little road time. With less than 12,000 ACTUAL miles are displayed on the odometer, an Arizona title confirming her integrity. The car was inspected and approved before shipping by Troy at Bourne Customs, the state’s most reputable Continental connoisseur and maintained by Danny Legend of Legend’s Auto Repair over the last two years. To top it off, the mecca of continental mechanics John Cashman himself, signature, ink still drying, on this functional convertible’s top less than 6 months ago. Countless hours and thousands of dollars can be spent maintaining the relays of this once 700-dollar factory option. (Records and receipts all provided.) This is not a resto-mod, this is as original with tastefully updated items when needed. A mineral based custom paint job in Tiffany blue simply restores her original blue luster.
