1948 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet
The luxury and prestigious Lincoln Continentals were built 1939-1942, after the war they were reintroduced in 1946-1948 with minor changes from the 1942 model. Believed to be the first Lincoln Continental was custom designed and built for Edsel Ford to use for a vacation. Designed by Lincoln's head stylist and master designer Bob Gregori. A very expensive car in its time; buyers considered it an investment in luxury. 1948 was the very last year for the Mark I V12; only... to be reintroduced in 1956 with complete new Gordon Buehrig design. Recognized as a full classic by Class Car Club of America, CCCA and adds to the value and desirability. This car comes from an estate of a very discerning collector and was professionally body up restored in 1992. Recipient of AACA National first place both Junior and Senior divisions. The general appearance of this car; recently and completely refreshed, is a strong #2 category. The Regal Blue paint still looks factory fresh along with very presentable chrome.
