I have owned and driven many of the Lincoln Designer Series....but none as pristine as this car.
It is in truly remarkable condition, everything works in this car and the paint appears to be all original.I had it checked with a paint meter which confirmed original and uniformly even painted surfaces.
There is no indication of any bodywork, paint work or touch up ever having been done on this car.
You will not find a ding or a dent on this car. The prior owners must have been extra careful as to wherethey ever parked this car. We trust the lucky new owners will be equally careful.
The plastic fillers that are utilized around both the front & back bumpers are perfect...no cracks or blemishes
The special Turbine Aluminum Wheels are perfect. No curb rash.
I drove this car 25 miles today and the ride is incomparable.....incredibly smooth & quiet. It might have a few moremiles on it before it is delivered to the new lucky owner...I really love driving this Lincoln Mark V Cartier.
You can close the doors with one finger and when closed, it sounds like a door in a vault closing.
The special license plate that came with this car would indicate that this car's first owner, Paul E. Peffleyattended the United States Naval Academy. In doing a search on line for a Paul E. Peffley, we were ableto find a Paul E. Peffley, age 82, living in Pennsylvania not far from where this car was originally delivered.USNA-57 (United States Naval Academy) The 57 (1957) would be the approximate right year for a gentlemanwho is now 82 to have graduated from the Naval Academy in 1957.
