1988 Lincoln Mark Series LSC
I'M GOING TO ADD SOME NOTES FOR EMPHASIS-THIS CAR IS ORIGINAL EXCEPT AS STATED BELOW. IT IS NOT RESTORED AND HAS BEEN CONFIRMED AS ORIGINAL BY THREE SOURCES. THE MILEAGE IS ORIGINAL AS IS EVERY COMPONENT EXCEPT THE RADIO. TO REPRESENT IT OTHERWISE WOULD IMPUNE MY 100 PERCENT RATING ON EBAY AND MY LIFETIME REPUTATION. AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE HAVE CONTACTED ME INDICATING I WAS MISREPRESENTING THE CAR. ANOTHER CLAIMED THAT THE EXHAUST SYSTEM HAD BEEN REPLACED, PROBABLY BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL PAPER TAGS COULD STILL BE SEEN ON THE EXHAUST PIPES. I AM NOT MISREPRESENTING THE CAR. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CAR TO RESTORE, THIS ONE IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT. IT NEEDS NO RESTORATION. OUR GRANDSON, THE FAMILY CAR BUFF, JUST SAW THE CAR FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER RETURNING FROM A LONG DEPLOYMENT. HE WAS STUNNED. IF YOU SEE IT IN PESON, THE CAR WILL SELL ITSELF. BID WITH CONFIDENCE. This is a show car in perfect/flawless/mint showroom condition. Essentially, it is a 30 year old new car. I had my doubts when I purchased thisLSC, but it honestly looks better than most new cars I've seen. It is the same way in the trunk, inside the car, under the car and under the hood-perfect rims-an unbelievable 30 year old car that looks and feels new.I have replaced the original 30 year old Goodyear Eagle tires- hardened over time and did not grip the road-many flat spots- with new Michelins. The wipers were likewise stiff and were replaced. It has a new battery. The original radio (available) has been replaced as it was draining the battery-repairs were not guaranteed. The brake fluid was corrupt and was purged. All fluids (transmission, differential, radiator and crankcase oil (yes, it had the original oil). The driver's window motor gear was replaced and the AC was converted to R-134. Otherwise, the car was put through a required Maryland safety inspection for licensing at the local Lincoln dealer. It has remarkable features-front to back that are in the most modern cars. The features are too many to list-the retractable antenna and tractor closing trunk lid, the driving computer, dual power front seats, EFI, ABS and more. The feature that is very remarkable is the four corner air suspension. I observed you don't feel the turns/leaning as much. I believe this is the most flawless, all original Mark VII LSC in existence. This is one of 38,529 Mark VII's produced in 1988. There were two models of the car--The Bill Blass and the LSC (Luxury Sport Coupe). The Bill Blass model had different seats and a different softer suspension. It was referred to as your "Grandpa's car." The both had the same price. The LSC was raced on the Trans-Am circuit-showed one 9th place finish. I believe the necessary maintenance that was done still qualifies this car as original--it is absolutely not a restore. It is as clean underneath the car as on top. In addition there are original owner's manuals and pamphlets, an original window sticker (it was sold by Gordie Boucher Linc-Merc, Inc., West Allis, WI), an original marketing brochure featuring the burgundy LSC with the same burgundy interior (Lincoln reference is dark Cabernet metallic), and a best in show national competition award senior badge medallion from the Lincoln and Continental Owners Club at the Eastern National Meet in Independence, MO in August, 2005. IthinkI'm the third owner. The original owner (Richard Frederick) owned a cement business in Wisconsin. He habitually purchased new vehicles, drove them until he found his next new toy. When he died, there were a number of cars in his estate (stored in his warehouse) with 500-3500 original miles. The car is currently sitting outside under a custom cover (included). I've driven it about 300 miles since it was purchased-basically for state inspection, tires and service updates. I was going to use it as a daily driver but it is too perfect and better suited to show. It is truly a museum piece/time capsule. Specific questions or details are welcome. All serious offers will be considered. Shipping is the buyer's responsibility.Vehicle Details:
