Up for auction is a very clean and original 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III. This car has 91,820 actual original miles and was a one owner car from 1978 to 2015. The second owner of this car purchased the car in 1978 and drove it very sparingly until 1988 when the car was put into storage. The car remained in storage until I discovered the car in 2015. Upon purchasing the car I installed a new heater core, water pump, radiator, radiator hoses, fuel pump, new exhaust system, battery and tires in order to get the car back into driving condition. I also performed a tune up and carburetor rebuild. Once the car was running it was completely disassembled and repainted in the original color. All of the chrome and stainless trim pieces were removed, so there is no overspray anywhere on this car. The interior is 100% original and in excellent condition. The headliner is perfect without even the slightest separation in the stitching. The dash pad does not have asingle crack in it.The carpets show nearly no wear and are free of any stains. The seat upholstery is perfect aside from a very slight blemish in the material on the front passenger seat back. All of the power options are functioning including factory clock and A/C, which still blows cold and holds a charge of original R-12 refrigerant. The rear windows work intermittently and the fuel gauge is not currently working. The undercarriage is very dry and rust free with only minor surface rust on the frame and suspension components. All of the factory Ford decals remain on this car under the hood and door jambs. The original jack and spare tire remain in the trunk along with all of the original trunk lining material. The car has a gold hand painted stripe to match the original factory stripe. The original owner’s manual along with two original copies of the build sheet will come with the car. The car is fitted with 4 N.O.S. 1969 Lincoln Mark III hub caps.
