1970 LINCOLN MARK III - VERY GOOD CONDITION - VERY LOW RESERVE
1970 Lincoln Mark Series
1970 LINCOLN MARK III
I've had several Lincoln Mark III's and Mark IV's in my life time and this 1970 Mark III is one of the nicer cars that I've owned. The Lincoln Mark III's should be bringing a lot more in today's market place than they are currently. Their day will come, just like the Mark II's are now, where their values will go up immensely. This is your chance to get avery nice Mark III at a bargain price. My reserve is low, but respectable of what this car should bring. There has been many new parts that have been installed on this Lincoln. The following is a list of parts that have been replaced with new:
Tires - Gas Tank - Fuel Sending Unit - Alternator - Rebuilt Original Carb -Fuel Pump - Wiper Blades - Power Steering Return Hose -New A/C Compressor, Dryer, ExpansionValve,A/C Lines - Rear End Seals - TimingChain, Cover & Gasket Set - Water Pump - Fan Clutch - Thermostat - Belts - Plug Wires & Spark Plugs - Radiator &Hoses - Heater Core - Battery & Cables - Control Arms -Ball Joints - Sway Bar Links - Shocks - Brake Pads &All Hardware - Master Cylinder - Pertronix Electronic Ignition - Pertronix Coil -Idler Pulley -Heater Control Valve - Starter -TransmissionShift Lever Seal - Transmission Filter& Oil- Engine Oil & Filter
As you can see, a lot has been done to this car. Here's a list of what stillneeds to be done to make it about the nicest Mark III you can buy:
ReplaceTrunk Carpet (missing bottom piece) - Replace Exhaust System -Replace Passenger Side Window Motor - ReplaceBoth Rear Window Motors- Repair Clock -RevampRadio & Speakers (radio works but some ofthe speakers are not working) -Two Little Trim Pieces onthe Trunk Lid Are Missing - Driver's Side SeatNeeds Some AttentionOn One Side(see picture).
I might be a little picky, but these cars deserve to be brought back to a high standard. They're just too nice of a car. Overall, the paint, chrome, glass and trim are in very good condition (see pictures). The car runs and drives like new. There are no engine, transmission or rear end oil leaks. The headlamp doors do open up after a short while of the engine being turned off. Just about 99% of these old Lincoln's do that too. It has had one repaint back to it's original Ford white. The vinyl top isoriginal and in very good condition. The undercarriage is solid....just needs a good cleaning and undercoat. I do have the owner's manual and all receipts of the work that has beendone.
As I mentioned, I dohave a low reserve on the car, but I hope she brings what it's worth. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me anytime. I'd rather talk than type. Thanks for looking & bidding!!......Ken 574-870-4888
