1994 Lexus LS. Just over 200k miles. White with beige interior. Car is not functional - needs new catalytic converter. Otherwise in very good condition for age. For instance, the leather is in reasonably good condition and most functions (i.e sun roof, radio, windows, door locks are still functional) are still operational. History: Car was purchased 4 years ago in Tucson. Car was well maintained by prior owner in Tucson. Received many comments from CA mechanic about how well the engine was maintained. Car was relocated to Orange County, CA in 2020 and used as daily driver for four years. Issues with the car were minimal in CA - brakes, oil and tires were maintained. Car was relocated to Eugene Oregon in fall 2023 where it currently sits today. We did not proceed with the repairs listed below.

TECHNICIAN NOTE
Confirm customer's concern on the vehicle struggling to go up to speed. Test drove the vehicle and noticed when putting vehicle into gear a vibration can be felt throughout the whole vehicle, suspect that motor mounts are getting worn. Test drove vehicle in town speed and vehicle did struggle to get up to speed also when giving the vehicle throttle the RPMs would just suddenly drop and read zero RPMs. After test drive brought vehicle into the shop and started to inspect vehicle and noticed a cap broken on the idle air control valve. When lifting the vehicle notice excessive Heat once vehicle was in the air and found the catalytic converters were glowing hot which indicates a plug cat causing the vehicle not to get up to speed. When inspecting the catalytic converters noticed that the wiring for the O2 sensors that are located near the catalytic converter are starting to burn and melt. Therefore before moving forward would recommend both catalytic converters with new gaskets including all four O2 sensors at the same time.
