1990 Lexus LS Luxury Sedan
Hello, and Thank You for showing interest in this original owner 1990 Lexus LS400 Luxury Sedan, with only 50616 miles on the odometer, and no accidents whatsoever. Pictures and words do not do this car justice. In person, feels as if you are standing next to a new car. I have many more pictures for any interested parties. Links for videos are down below, just copy and paste in a new tab in your browser. The original two tone Silvermist Metallic paint is beautifully preserved, and the car's clear coat has been preserved by being garaged and regularly cleaned, including hand only detailing and polishing. The vehicle rides on original factory 15" wheels, wrapped in 205/65/R15 tires, and includes a full size spare tire. Wheels have no scratches and look like they just left the factory. Wheels are directional, left and right for brake cooling. It incorporates a double wishbone control arms, with pneumatic four corner independent suspension (no air suspension issues to deal with), four wheel power disc brakes and effortless power steering. The power is supplied by a 32 Valve DOHC 4.0L UF-1E V8, that is mated to an electronically controlled over driven 4 speed automatic transmission, with either normal or power modes, supplying power to the rear independent axles. Engine generates 250hp, 260ft lbs of torque, with torque at any rpm, moves the car effortlessly and with a car these proportions manages over 23 mpg combined, just unprecedented. You have to look at the tachometer to make sure the engine is running when parked, because you cannot feel it. Nothing on this Lexus came from a production Toyota car, every part was designed for this specific chassis. Engine is fed via generous intake supplying cool air from the grille area and a large resonator to keep it quiet, while exhaust gasses are dissipated through dual manifolds and converters, with dual exhaust and two mufflers on each side after the resonator, for the ultimate in ride comfort and noise reduction, and the dual polished stainless tips put a nice touch to it. The stainless exhaust was designed to last the life of the vehicle. Rear view mirrors and door handles are color matched, and these were one of the few cars with factory undercoating, for long life. You can check out the undercarriage in one of the pictures. They are made to last and are built with precision in every detail and highest quality materials. Rust is non existent on the body. The moment you open the doors, you get surprised by a new car smell and you can get a feel for the high build quality. Interior is upholstered in gray leather, well preserved, with no cracks in it, not even on the driver's seat, which the video down below shows in detail. The gray carpet is protected by the original Lexus floor mats, which of course had different mats over them protecting them. The interior picture was shot with the driver's mat out of the way to show the pristine carpet. The mat is back in for the video, which shows how clean it is as well. The parking brake release is large and easy to operate and unmistakably found, with the left foot operating the parking brake. Driver's seat is 9 way power, including lumbar, passenger is 4 way power, and both front seats have adjustable head rests, as well as the rear seats, which also have the center console that retracts to make room for an extra passenger. Front seats have storage in the back of them as well. There is a cigarette lighter/access point with an ashtray, and there is an ashtray on each rear door, as well as a cigarette lighter/access point in the rear, which none of have seen use, also clearly shown in the video. There were no children or pets that drove in this vehicle. The odometer is analog, as pictured and it has two digital trip meters, as well. The climate control has automatic temperature controls in the front and manually operated vents in the rear, and the heat including A/C work proper. It has a power moon roof/sunroof, auto dimming rear view mirrors, heated power side view mirrors, a holographic dash display that is fully functional and no issues with the Heads Up Display, as well as intermittent wipers. Dash dimmer is fully functional. The wiper arms are on special pivots which gives the wipers maximum wiping area. It features cockpit style individual dome lights for driver and passenger, as well as a generous dome light for the whole car, lit vanity mirrors on both sun visors, all functional. It also has a small, 3rd sun visor above the rear view mirror, which I know some have wished they had at least once or twice. It also features a Premium Pioneer/Lexus sound system with an automatic retractable antenna, and a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, with a button that enables it to move all the way up to make getting in and out easier, also fully functional. Steering wheel mounted cruise control works great, and the glass headlight lens give maximum clarity lighting up the road ahead and in case you need more light, amber fog lights, neatly tucked in clear lens between the headlights and the grille, are there as needed, not to mention how good and different they look when on. Gas door and trunk are controlled from the left side knee area and have a lock that disables the access to the trunk and the gas tank. Hence, the valet key, which is also provided with the car, works the ignition and the door lock, but cannot unlock the trunk or operate the lock disabling the remote access to trunk and gas door. Talking about covering every detail, down to slow release hinges on the glove box. Center console has a storage compartment, with a coin holder and a retractable dual cup holder behind the shifter. California Walnut trim, which is 100% preserved like new in every area, no cracks and no scratches on it elegantly ties up the interior and the door sill protectors feature a brushed aluminum insert and the factory privacy windows are just enough. They made this automobile to introduce a new brand and impress buyers, and it was a great success. I have a video demonstrating all the components working properly, on the following link https://youtu.be/aJHOcsLwoVM .At 1:10 or so in the video, you can see the automatic temp unit working properly as it automatically switched from higher blower speed to low as I turned the temp down. I went out of my way to show the real enthusiasts what they are getting for their money. This video here shows the rest of the interior and door jambs, in detail https://youtu.be/0ZAz5La9iN8 . The second part of the walk around can be seen here https://youtu.be/cHBMphIifbA . You can see all the windows and power locks working in the following video as well: https://youtu.be/xtOxM4wz9Mo . The rear lights above the passengers work, so do vanity lights, which are not shown in the video. The cigarette lighters and the ashtrays, which were never used are clearly shown. Door jambs, trunk jambs and all the crevices are extremely clean, as shown. When you pull the rubber back anywhere around the doors, trunk or hood, there is no dirt behind it. The following video features the engine bay, which has no leaks of any sort, on top of the engine or on the bottom of the engine, or the transmission. Both pans are dry, not even seeping. No wet spots, no oil marks. I have close up pictures of the bottom of the engine available upon request. There is only room for 24 pictures in the listing. It has received white glove service it's whole life. The following video will give you an idea: https://youtu.be/EgXHZ0jf1Ok . The trunk features plenty of storage,is fully carpeted, and it stores a full sized spare tire and a jack. The spare was removed to take a picture, which shows a brand new trunk cavity underneath. The black lines on the sides above the spare tire, shown in the picture, are some kind of tarry substance to keep the carpet from sliding around. There is also a First Aid Kit that originally came with the car enclosed in a Lexus case and the opposite side of the trunk features a tool kit, which includes all Lexus branded tools and a rag. Both kits are complete, untouched. The trunk features an optional heavy duty trunk liner with Lexus logo on it that goes over the standard factory trunk mat. The emergency gas door release is housed behind the first aid kit. In this video, you can see the car started and driven around the city, and in the very beginning the steering wheel comes down by itself as the key is inserted: https://youtu.be/3HYKUUTrevo . In this video, you can see highway driving, cruising at decent speeds and having a little bit of fun https://youtu.be/xL3wqEZI35M . Please make sure you just copy and paste the link itself in your new browser or tab, none of the spaces before or after. Here is another video, operating the sunroof while driving: https://youtu.be/e0F5o7ZbHuU . The following two video are the car driving by, first time quietly driving by and the second video shows it with some attitude: https://youtu.be/5tT_JyBtePM . The gas door was accidentally left open as can be seen in this video, and it shows the attitude it has when needed, not to be confused with something slow and boring: https://youtu.be/hn1hzawygdg .I have a couple of hundred more pictures and would be glad to send you more pictures if needed. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you have. If you would like to see a specific video of something, please leave a comment below the video after watching it and I will do my best to accommodate, or send me a message through ebay. This is a private sale. The car is provided with five genuine OE Lexus keys, very expensive laser cut, 3 master keys and two valet keys, 2 original Lexus key chains with Plaza Lexus and their number engraved on them, clean Missouri tittle, partial service records, with all the records from 1990 to 1999 available at Plaza Lexus in St. Louis, MO, where it was bought new on 02/24/1990 and serviced solely until 1999 (about 40,000 miles) with some paper records with the car, including the original sales contract. It was a second car after 2000, hence the low miles. This was confirmed with a call to the service department on 10/28/2019. They did all the oil changes on the car and changed the battery in 1995. The brake master cylinder was changed later on in 1998. The car is provided with the Owner's Manual, Owner's Guide, Owner's guide supplement, Accessory collection booklet, a card showing the scheduled services till 60,000 miles and then current prices, a roadside assistance card, Amoco Motor Club sticker, and then new Lexus sales manager's and Service manager's cards with their home and car numbers listed, and a current MO safety inspection done on May 24th, this year, as well as the test results from the last required emission test. All good there, for the folks in California. Recent services within the last year include: Wiper blades, Gates radiator hoses, Bando serpentine drive belt, new air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, oil change, coolant flush, transmission filter and fluid service (also done in 2005) for the second time in it's life, four new tires (200 miles ago), two lower ball joints, front pads and rotors, new AcDelco battery and of course, an alignment. After Plaza Lexus, it was privately serviced and the gentleman that did all the work on it since can be reached with any specific questions you might have. All body panels have a VIN sticker on them like they left the factory, it has never been to a body shop. It is mechanically sound and very strong in every aspect. The Carfax and the included AutoCheck reports are clean, show no accidents and no issues. There are a few small dings on the rear passenger door, concentrated on one area by the handle, which I have shown in the video, and the second to last photo here on ebay shows it clearly. I have also pointed out one hairline scratch on the front bumper, small scuff on the bottom left of the bumper and the hairline scratch above the Lexus logo. The chrome strip in the middle of the rear bumper has about an inch long spot where the clear film on top has peeled. All these could be taken care of easily, but I want to keep it original, untouched. It is among first 20,000 Lexus LS400 ever made according to the VIN, with 1990 being unique and hardest to find. Production date is January 1990. The interior has no flaws. Clear coat is 100% intact, no fade, no discoloration, and is smooth as glass. I have a picture showing how well the water beads off the finish. Most of these were put outside to make room for a newer car or given to kids to destroy way back in the day, but not this one. It was polished and waxed on a regular basis, and garaged all the time, to this day. You will have harder time finding a better, more pristine Lexus LS400. I have seen some sell for over 25,000 and a handful of them sell over 20,000. I can reference to the ads if needed. I have the buy it now price listed, and I am open to reasonable offers. I am reasonable, please contact me and I would be glad to accommodate to the best of my ability. May not be as exciting as bidding, but some people do not want to wait around and bid. This car is road worthy and ready to go cruising. It is centrally located in St. Louis, MO, which gives reasonable shipping to either coast. I would not hesitate to drive it to either coast, as long as you do not care for the miles. You have to provide your own transport for the vehicle, and I would be willing to pick you up from the airport upon arrival, even give you a ride back to the airport after the car is loaded up. After the initial deposit, the rest is due within 7 days of the auction close. We can meet at any public place, such as bank, airport, etc. I hope I have managed to put out enough information to show off this Luxury Upscale Automobile from Japan. Japan put forth their best, made the rest of the world go back to the drawing board, and you can have this piece of history, as pristine as they come. They are considered the best cars ever made, unprecedented in styling, performance and fuel consumption. Cars would not be this nice today if it was not for this very model of car. They were designed for 300,000 miles of service and some have made it over 1,000,000 with original engines. Keep in mind this would be a nice Christmas present, just needs a bow. I have an article showing one of these made it 1,000,000 miles. Ebay would not let me link it, but if you contact me, I can send you the link. Please let me know if you have issues with the links.
I hope you enjoyed checking out this automobile. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions whatsoever. I am here to answer questions and I will strive to make this the best experience you have had buying a vehicle. Thank You all for making Ebay a great community, and I am glad to present this on Ebay. No need to go to bringatrailer, (but check them out anyways to see what their LS400's go for), no need to pay 5% commission for a car you purchased, no need to spend extra on what you want. I have seen dozens of LS400's, and this one is by far the most preserved one. I have never seen a 1990 LS400 with lower miles. Comparing a 1990 Lexus to any other year is like comparing a 1953 Chevrolet Corvette vs any other year Corvette. When taken out, it looks like it just left a showroom. For now, it's in the garage, under a cover. The cover will be included. Please submit your best offer and do not pass it up if you are in the market. This is as close as you can get to having a brand new one. The listing is private and your information will not be publicly displayed. I understand that this is not a car for everyone. Thank You once again!!!
