SUPER LOW MILES, EXCELLENT CONDITION 1991 RANGE ROVER CLASSIC
Originally fromTexas, this 3-owner Classic has no rust, an exceptional interior and the most attractive original pain I have seen. The truck is all original with the exception of a repair and repaint of the right quarter panel by the original owner in its early years.
The second owner had the frame and chassis completely Waxoyl-coated immediately after leaving Texas; black on the frame and clear elsewhere. The rust-free hood has several areas of cat scratches, legacy of a long-dead cat, and small rock chips, but no dents. The much sought Trocadero Red still has an incredibly deep shine. The quarter panel repaint is unnoticeable. Very minimal surface rust in footwell (see picture) as every Classic has, but no rot. I refer you to pictures of the left rear door to see the collection of small, smooth dents, common on these aluminum doors.
It is the quietest and smoothest driving Classic I have owned. It handles bumps without shake or shimmy, no chassis squeaks or clunks, she shifts smoothly and stays straight and stable at 70 MPH. There are no driveway leaks. No dash warning lights. The brakes are very sensitive as Classics are known for. The ABS pump functions normally and quietly.
The 58,000 miles is accurate and believable. The interior has very minimal wear. The leather is without holes or cracks. The wood trim is beautiful, with only minimal and mostly unseen coating splits. It even has the original console lid latch, most Range Rover Classic owners have never seen. Included is an ultra-rare genuine Range Rover dog guard (easily removable with two knurled knobs) and vintage front, rear and cargo floor mats.
I did not inherit maintenance or repair records, but judging from its looks and drive, it has been well-cared-for.New tires and front shocks this year.
I am not a dealer or professional restoration shop. I have a small collection of 1989-1992 Range Rover Classics. By far, this is the most original and best condition of them all. Time capsule is a very overused description in the vintage car market and has disappointed me in the past. I assure you, "time capsule" applies to this vehicle in every sense. I am choosing to sell her to finance a couple RRC restoration projects.
