1964 Land Rover Series IIa

1964 land rover Series IIabought this as a retirement present with every intention of putting it on the road as a semi-daily driver. But Florida entered the picture. I drove it to its current location and started right up with the electric starter everything worked. I didn't try the hand crank starter. The previous owner had it almost done, except seat cushions (I still have them, but they need to be redone.) The frame is good and it was stored away from any salt. I guess I you would call it a behind the barn find. Definitely need a thorough cleaning, oil change and fuel system clean out.While in storage, a neighborhood brat tried to get in it by breaking part of the passenger side window, all other glass and body parts are original and intact; the steel bulkhead does need a little attention, but no holes in the floor. The roof cap is removable if you like the fresh air.
Bought it from a guy in Maine; he said it was formally owned by Buckmaster Fuller - something I would take with a grain of salt.
Comes with aa great shop manual and parts catalog.
