Description:

1993 Land Rover Range Rover

Here we have a really interesting Range Rover Classic. The base vehicle started out as a very solid, clean, and basically rust free 1993 Range Rover Classic SWB (Short Wheel Base).

A well know Land Rover enthusiast built this Rover to his own specs. It has been Modified with a low mileage (approx 60k) Chevy 350ci Multi-port Fuel injected LT1 V8 engine (Vortec V8 out of a late 90's Chevy Tahoe) and used a Mark's adapter kit to mate onto a Rover R380 5-speed Manual Transmission & LT230 Locking Transfer-case. A five speed manual transmission in a V8 Range Rover Classic is pretty rare on its own, but here you also have a more powerful and reliable GM engine and you have the stronger Rover LT230 locking transfer-case as well. This truck is a real neat package, and loads of fun to drive. Its runs and drives well on the road or on the trail!

We have been told the engine was updated to new MPI spider injectors, 1.6 full roller rockers on a stock cam, throttle body plate restrictor was removed and intake internals have been mildly smoothed for better performance. Fitted roller timing chain, EGR delete, EVAP delete, catalytic converters deleted. OBDII diagnostic port for ease of maintenance.

Truck runs and drives 100% with in excess of 265 HP and 330 ft-pounds of torque. Smooth & Reliable Chevy power and economy.

Stainless NRP exhaust.

Custom Heavy Duty Radiator w/electric fan on variable controller.

Dual Battery Set-up w/new Interstate Batteries.

The body and frame are in excellent condition, Basically rust and corrosion free.

Rear upper tailgate is solid and works well, only slight surface rusting. Rear tailgate wiper motor is not working at this time.

ARB roof rack in excellent condition.

Rovertyme Front Bumper w/Superwinch (new synthetic rope) & Aux lighting.

Full HD Rock sliders.

RTE Fuel Tank Skid Plate.

RTE Heavy Duty Steering Links

There is an ARB Air Locker installed in rear, but would need a compressor fitted to make it operational.

Tom Woods Heavy Duty Driveshafts

Rovertyme front & rear arms

Here's another interesting addition to the vehicle: It has been properly Fitted with a 2004 Discovery 2 (Soft-Dash) Dashboard. Very similar to a 1995 RRC soft dash. The steering wheel adjusts up and down just as it would in a Discovery, unlike the fixed mounted original steering column used in all early Range Rover Classics (Better comfort now).

The power seats work as they should and both front & rear seats have been refinished.

Sawtooth Alloy Rims with low mileage BFG Mud Terrains 265/70-16

Cabin has had Dynamat installed for noise/heat reduction.

Known issues: Heat works well but AC is not hooked up - would need a compressor, hoses, and belt. Otherwise system should work. some used parts for AC are included in trunk. Cruise Control not working. The D2 driver and passenger air bags not hooked up as this vehicle never originally had air bags. The headliner is fairly new but no covering on the sunroof blind as can be seen in the picture.

This is a really neat truck. I would advise anyone to come and see it in person, take it for a nice test drive, and lets make a deal! This Land Rover is not perfect, it could use some sorting, however it has been very reliable as a daily driver and very capable to be driven anywhere. The title say approx 148k miles on it, but as you can see the dash and instrument cluster have been changed. The mileage on the GPS speedometer in the truck reads about 150 miles since we got that working properly.
