For sale is an incredibly well preserved 1972 Land Rover Series III 88" Deluxe. This is a 259 Code US Series III Land Rover, which is number 1,095 of a total 3,572 produced for the US market from 1971-1974. This Land Rover reads 34,470 miles, and it is believed to be original. This Land Rover started life in California and remained there until the late 1990s before being brought to Montana, where it had been kept in storage for approximately 17 years. The Land Rover has since made its way to the Pacific Northwest. This is an all original, unmolested Land Rover and has never been cut up, lifted or abused.
The all-aluminum body is incredibly straight with virtually zero corrosion. The floors are near perfect without any denting or corrosion. The removable top is in excellent condition without any corrosion. The galvanized trim is in great shape. All of the original lights are working.
The undercarriage is 100% rust free and the frame is pristine. The frame and axles have recently been painted, along with some extensive mechanical maintenance. The starter, alternator and original carburetor have been rebuilt. A new fuel pump has been installed. New upper and lower radiator hoses along with a rebuilt water pump have also been installed. The brake system has been serviced with a new master cylinder, wheel cylinders and brake lines. The front and rear axles have been serviced and new front locking hubs have been installed. The undercarriage is very clean and free of any extensive grime or buildup. The transmission and PTO are very clean without any rust or corrosion buildup.
