Great example of a Defender 90 in custom green color. Well maintained as previous owner was technician at Land Rover dealer outside of London (Guy Salmon Land Rover). Tons of maintenance records included.
If you are looking for $100,000+ frame off rebuild Defender, this is not for you. If you want a Defender you can jump in and go for a drive and enjoy it, this is it. Loaded with many upgrades: Exmoor Trim seats, center console cubby box, genuine Land Rover CD player, JVC speakers, Rhino Rack, Terrafirma light bar, Hella 550 and 500 lights (fully wired and working), genuine Land Rover spare tire cover, and anti-theft pedal lock box.
Mechanically, it is well cared for and drives very well. Just completed a 2 hour road trip without any concerns. Recent upgrades and repairs include:New spark plugs, starter, distributor, wires, ignition coil and lead wire, carbs rebuilt, and drive belt. Full head gasket job completed: head gasket, water pump, hoses, and thermostat. Upgraded to a Revotec electric fan, keeping the engine cool even on long summer drives. Like most 30 old Land Rovers, it does leave its mark with small leaks.
Chassis is sound and strong. You can see in the pictures that even in area that are prone (around wheels and fenders) that chassis is in good condition. To test the strength of even the tow hitch welds to the chassis, had the Defender pulled up bed of the flat bed at high angle during delivery time by the hitch mount.
Small things are sorted out. Gas gauge works, tach works, dash lights work, blower for vents work, horn works, high beams work, signals work, hazards work, two sets of keys. Also single key locks all the doors, this isn't the case with many old Defenders.
Again, really fun Defender that you will enjoy. It is 30 years old so do not expect a brand new flawless Land Rover.
