Up for sale is my 1986 land Rover defender 110. It originally had a 2.5 liter 4 cyl gas engine but I replaced it with a more powerful 3.9 V8 backed with a zfhp24 automatic transmission with a locking LT230 bulletproof transfer case.
The engine is a 1996 and out of a discovery 1. It was freshened at time of install, new gaskets and parts like water pump, t stat, valve covers, and some other gaskets, all roughly 2 years ago. Engine has an external oil cooler attached, transmission has a external aftermarket trans cooler attached. Discovery 2 Radiator with twin electric fans. So to sum it up, engine runs great and transmission shifts great.
I imported this truck from England so eBay would not recognize the VIN. I have owned this truck roughly a bit over two years.
The actual VIN is Salldhmd8ba255045
Clean South Carolina title in my name.
I made the doors fully removable for those hot summer days. Takes about 20 minutes to swap out.
Brought the truck down to bare metal and went though everything. No rust on the outriggers or rear crossmember. The frame has been patched and there is no rust. The front floors were patched also on the bulkhead. The doors have no rust, not any on the bottoms. They are in incredible shape.
Truck has 160k Miles on the body and the engine / trans has 130k but was gone through 2 years ago as mentioned.
4 wheel disc brake conversion. Full size spare tire and spare wheel matches the rest.
2" suspension lift, Rock sliders, dif guard, aluminum fuel tank guard. Swing away tire carrier on the back.
Salisbury rear axle - very heavy duty.
Brand new tires on her.
Captain seats front and in the back with soft bench seat pads in the very back.
The history on the truck was it was in Bosnia for it's first 8 years of life . It was brought back to England after that and was retired from service and sold to a civilian in 1994. So, 1994 was it's first registration date in the UK. 2016 was when I first registered the truck here in the USA.
I am located in Charleston SC if you would like to take it for a spin

Don't be shy to shoot me an offer, all I can say is no! :-))
I welcome you to come check the truck out, and recommend and would you come take her for a spin (it will put a smile on your face, guaranteed!), hang out with her, hit the frame with a hammer but not too hard lol, bring a mechanic friend who knows way too much named ben, whatever you want. I am very easy and welcoming of who ever. We can have a bbq in the back if you bring the family. Anyways, good luck bidding!
