This 1984 Defender 90 is an original Left Hand Drive model that has been legally imported from Italy. It is titled in Virginia in my name (No Lien) and all relevant customs documentation( EPA 3520-1, DOT Declaration and customs and Border Protection form 7501) will be provided to the buyer for their records. The VIN is SALLDVAC8AA262422
The vehicle is in good condition but would need some TLC to make it a daily driver. It has the 2.5 liter naturally aspirated (NA) diesel engine. Engine starts up fine and sounds good though there is some blowby, could be valves, have not diagnosed further. The brake pedal loses pressure due to a faulty master cylinder so I have only driven this Defender around the lot, brakes would need fixed before driving on the road.Though Parking Brake holds, It does have power steering which works as it should. Tires have plenty of tread and are in good condition.
The frame is all solid and doesn't' have any rust.(rear Cross member and outriggers are good too) Floors etc are solid. Cosmetically it has a few minor dents and a little interior work etc is needed( seats have a couple of tears and it needs window regulators replaced). Paint shows some touchups on the front and a few spots on the side panels.
This would be a great Defender to restore or drive with the needed TLC. It is being sold AS IS and will need some work. It has a solid rust free chassis it's definitely worth the effort to fix up. Will be sold at a reasonable price unlike many overpriced Defenders offered for sale out there.LHD Defenders are already very rare to find in the US these days.
Tires are 205/80/16 in a Great condition- plus 02 spares one on the hood and one at the backdoor.
Truck is in ALL ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING, ENGINE AND CHASSIS.
It is a used vehicle and is sold AS IS, where is with no warranties. I can ship the vehicle anywhere on buyer's expense or assist with buyer's shipper. Vehicle will have to be towed in any-case because of the bad brakes though parking brake holds.
