1990 Land Rover Defender

Pros - Perfect U.S. export, visible chassis number and original engine. Chassis is solid, no rust, completely waxoiled. Tires basically new, paint in great condition. Bottom half of the engine has been re-built. New radiator, water pump, thermostat, temp sender. Gearbox shifts great, 4x4 works perfect. Sunroof, Aftermarket inter-cooler, Truckman bed shell

Cons - Interior needs updating, front seats could use a re-trim, one small hole on bulkhead under windscreen (see picture), some bubbling in paint on bottom of front doors. Door bottoms are solid with just a little surface rust. Sunroof apparently leaks because previous owner taped it up. Heater and radio don't work. Engine ran strong until fan belt broke while on the autobahn and it overheated, belt replaced but still ran hot. Replaced cooling system but ended up overheating again. Took head off and found blown head gasket and cracked head. Replaced both and repaired a core plug. All back together but still over heats and constant white smoke out of tailpipe.

Buyer would probably want to put a 200tdi in anyway so may not be a big deal.

TRUCK IS IN GERMANY right now but I can help organizing shipping to the states. Was quoted around Â£1400 to ship to Tacoma WA, Â£1000 for Charleston SC. Plus additional transport to port.
