A little history: “The Series IIA is considered by many the most hardy Series model constructed. It is also the type of classic Land Rover that features strongly in the general public's perception of the Land Rover, rom its many appearances in popular films and television documentaries set in Africa throughout the 1960s, uch as Born Free. In February 1968, ust a few months after its manufacturer had been subsumed, nder government pressure, nto the Leyland Motor Corporation, he Land Rover celebrated its twentieth birthday, ith total production to date just short of 600,000, f which more than 70% had been exported.[3] Certainly it was whilst the Series IIA was in production that sales of utility Land Rovers reached their peak, n 1969–70, hen sales of over 60,000 Land Rovers a year were recorded. (For comparison, he sales of the Defender in recent years have been around the 25,000 level since the 1990s.) Inspections are highly recommended. These inspections should be done in person before bidding or placing a deposit.

During the inspection process we prefer to work with buyers directly, n lieu of third party inspectors; third party inspectors are typically trained in late model vehicles and their inspection templates do not apply to classic or modified vehicles.

If a third party inspection service is used, lease know that we will require a copy of the inspection report before they leave our facility. Please let them know this before ordering your inspection.

WWVA salesmen are available six days per week to inspect any vehicle. We have a dedicated, -post lift available to you during your inspection. If you would like to meet an inspector at the dealership we will accommodate both of you.
