1976 Lancia Scorpion
This is a rare turn-key Lancia Scorpion converted to Montecarlo style and power.
Overview:
The registered owner acquired the car about 18 years ago from San Francisco bay area in California.It is now in Las Vegas Nevada where repair and modifications started one year ago.Windshield was recently replaced with brandnew one.
Floor panels where all replace with new 19 gauge sheet metal. The hood was replaced with perfectone.
The previous owner replaced the original 1800 cc engine with a brand new in-crate, FIAT 2000cc engine. The original 1800 cylinder head was reconditioned by high end auto machine shop.
All works were done in a year time andmost major parts are brand new when installed with less than 2 miles of driving.
The car drives andhandles good. Engine starts right up with no smoke nor any fluid leak. Brakes aregood. Cooling system works fine. All electricals works. It shifts excellent.
Engine and Cylinder Head:
1. Engine is 2000cc displacement. Installed brand new with 3 thousand miles since.
2. New Timing belt and tensioner bearing. New Auxiliary shaft oil seal.
3. Reconditioned original Cylinder Head from 1800cc engine.
4. Replaced Camshaft pulley with aftermarket metal type.
5. New oil, filter, and sending unit.New alternator-belt. No oil leak.
Clutch and Shifters:
1. New Slave cylinder and hose.
2. New shifter Bushings. Reinforced transmission linkage balls.
3. New Master Cylinder.
4. New supply Hose from reservoir.
5. New gear oil. No leak.
B Brake:
1. New Master Cylinder.
2. New supply hoses from reservoir to master cylinders.
3. New brake caliper hoses and pads.
4. Rebuilt Front and Rear Calipers.
5. Car stops and drives in straight line.
Suspension:
1. Good Struts.
2. Lowered coil Springs.
3. 14 inch Lancia Zagato wheels with studded spacer.
4. Front tires 185-60-14. Need replacing
5. Rear tires 195-60-15. In good shape.
6. Wheel bearing shows no play and no noise.
C Cooling System:
1. Radiator might need cleaning. Engine does not over heat. Always below operating temperature. Radiator fan comes on at 185 degrees on gauge.
2. Hoses are fair to good condition. No leak. Thermostat functions well.
3. New antifreeze and radiator cap.
4. Temperature gauge and over-heating warning light work well.
Electricals:
1. Headlights are from left hand drive Montecarlo.
2. Replaced with H4 LED bulbs. Focusing is easily accessible.
3. All lights at the rear functions except for the back-up. LED bulbs on Side marker lights.
4. Cleaned bulb sockets and all contacts of circuit board and wiring plugs.
5. Cleaned all grounding points of the electrical system.
6. Brand new Fuses and some relays.
7. Tachometer stopped working.
Body Exterior and Interior:
1. Hood is in excellent condition. No rust anywhere.
2. European front and rear bumpers.
3. Newly painted bumpers, Hood grill vents and "nose band".
4. No damage on rear plate number/taillight Grill. Special securing brackets are used.
5. All glasses are good including a recently installed brand new windshield.
6. Wiper mechanism works fine. New Blades. A separate relay is suggested.
7. Lancia 037 style "Double Bubble" removable hard roof.
8. Remote keyless power door locks. Regular key can still be used.
9. Side intake vents from X 1/9 installed by previous owner.
10. Air conditioning system needs servicing. A larger frontal area condenser is suggested.
11. Complete body trimmings and emblems.
12. No tear nor wear vinyl seat cushions and door panels.
13. Dash board has 3 small cracks that can be repaired or using the included dash cover.
14. Carpet is good no damage. Recolored light gray.
15. Speedometer cable needs replacement.
16. All floor panels and rear parcel deck replaced with new 19 gauge steel sheet metal.
Fuel System:
1. Fuel filters before and after pump.
2. Fuel Tank brought down for cleaning.
3. Replaced all rubber hoses and clamps.
4. Installed bigger 34/34 DMTR rebuilt carburetor. Electric Choke; fuel idle cut-off solenoid.
5. Stock air filter induction system.
6. Engine uses regular 87 octane.
7. Complete Smog equipment and except the absence of the catalytic converter.
8. New electronic Fuel Pump.
Ignition System:
1. Magnetti Marelli electronic system. 40K volts.
2. New spark plugs, cables, rotor,distributor cap.
3. Alternator is the original type with external voltage regulator.
Exhaust System:
1. Exhaust manifold is original but muffler system is not.
2. New chrome quad tip exhaust
Vehicle must be picked up by buyer within 5 days after complete payment has been received by the seller.
