1976 Lancia Scorpion Soft top

I no longer have room for this car and it spent the winter at my son-in-law's yard, the first time it has not been garaged since I bought it in 1995. It would make a great project car. It is relatively easy to work on and parts are still available.
The Scorpion, known as the Montecarlo, was developed to replace the Fiat Spider when it looked like the feds were going to ban convertibles. It is really a mini-Ferrari and was designed by Pinninfarina who designed a lot of the Ferraris back in the day.

I will start out with the issues:
The car will start (although it needs a new battery) and will run for short distances. I drove it to where it is now a year ago. After warming up it will start to sputter and die. I could not figure out what was wrong with it.
Over the winter critters decided to use some of the sheepskin covers for nesting. It's too bad because they were good quality. This happened once before while the car was indoors but it was barely noticeable. The factory leather seats are split at the seams, cracked, and faded. They would need to be recovered. Other than that the interior is in good shape.
The soft top has a slight split in it that could easily be repaired. The top straps, a common failure point, are in great shape.
The good:
The car ran great and I used to take it to work (60 mile round trip) once or twice a week. I really believe it could be back on the road with a little work.
Upgrades include a rare Ansa quad tip exhaust, Koni struts all around, electronic ignition, and upgraded electric fuel pump. It also has upgraded camshaft wheels and the timing belt was replaced but should be replaced by the new owner. The 1.8L engine is non-interference but the timing belt should be replaced at 25K mile intervals. Given the age it should be replaced.
The clutch was replaced and should be good for many more miles. The car shifts fine and the brakes were in good shape. The fluid should probably be replaced.
I had the car painted shortly after buying it back in 1995. It still looks great and there is no visible rust.
The car doesn't have any emissions equipment. The previous owner had removed everything. New Hampshire doesn't require smog inspection if the car is 20+ years old.
The Scorpion is sold as-is with no warranty. The buyer will have to arrange and pay for shipping.
