1981 Lancia Beta Zagato

Up for bid is a 1981 Lancia Beta Zagato Targa coupe with two removable roof sections. The car was donated to the AACA Museum in 2012 along with various extra parts. The vehicle was donated in NON Running condition and no attempt was made to start it. It was stated in the appraisal that the car ran and had a new timing chain and tune up in 2006 but that cannot be confirmed or denied at this time. The car would need to be gone over and checked as it had sat for several years without running before it was attempted to get running or driving. All proceeds from this sale will go directly to the AACA Museum.

ENGINE: The engine as I stated above is not running at this time The engine looks to be complete with no missing pieces. As far as I can see. It appears reasonably clean without any huge amounts of grease or oil visible. It is a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder double overhead cam with Bosch L - Jetronic Fuel Injection and a 5 speed manual transmission.

CHASSIS: The previous owner stated that the fuel tank was replaced with a used one and that there are new suspension bushings. The tires are in good shape but one ( with the gold rim located in the trunk) needs a valve stem and is leaking around the bead. Everything else seems to be intact and in good shape.

INTERIOR: The interior is in fair condition the leather seats have some cracks but no rips or tears. The carpet is worn in spots but there is extra carpet in the parts that come with the car. The steering wheel is cracked in spots and there are some defects in the foam. There are also some wires hanging down from the dash. The dash seems to be in fair condition along with the door panels and console.

EXTERIOR: The exterior is in good condition with some rust in the door jam (shown in the photos) There are some minor chips and dings but nothing really major. The paint shines and the soft top is not damaged although the rear plastic window has some marks.

There are 3 wooden pallets of parts that go with this car. In the pictures there will be a scanned partial list of the objects that go with the car. When the car is paid for and removed ALL extra parts must go with the car. There are way too many parts to load in the car if you are planning on having the car shipped, they just will not all fit inside the car.
