1980 Lamborghini Countach 4000S
1980 Lamborghini Countach 4000S
I purchased this car as a project car and I would have loved to see it finished but I am moving and no longer able to keep it. This is a Lamborghini Countach kit car produced by HiTech MFG in Ontario. This is an exact replica, size, frame, and removable wheelflairs asof the real 1980 Lamborghini Countach. I have all parts to finish the project.
Most important, This has a costume buildtitle. People wait years sometimes to get a title for there car. Not only that but its coded so you can get an actual appraisal from a vintage or self build insurance company. This car and how its made, andall the OEM parts is averaged from $65,000 to 80,000 completed. As its sit now its at $45,000.I have the title every self build dreams of having. You have to prove receipts, who did the work and with working phone numbers, where and when, value appraisal on labor from 3rd party, and safty checks. In some states they only give out a few per year so you go on a waiting list. This is a full costum build by people who knew their stuff. there areNO Fiero parts. This is 100% actual size of the real thing. Very rare kit. Lamborghini shut down all the companies who sold 100% size kits in the early 90s. Thisbody moldis as rare as the real car. This is the only one that has a slight rounded roof like the real one. Only Hi Tech did that. When finished, you will have to know these cars to be able to tell what car is real andwhich one isn't.
I have 4large binders filled with almost all of the information on the build of this car from the start. It includes the original brochures and receipts from HiTech MFG as well as many diagrams, prints of the body, chassis, suspension and all related parts. There are many receipts, photos, letters of documentation, all parts break outs and correspondence letters. it also shows that when the original owner sold the car in 1992 he had well over $40,000 invested in the car. It was stated when I purchased the car that it was last running and driving in 1997 prior to being garaged (which it still is).
A fewyears ago they put some time into getting it running, they cleaned out both stainless steel fuel tanks and put in a new fuel filter prior to attempting a start. They were able to hear it run only for a short burst and it sounded good. The carb will have to be removed and rebuilt since it didn't seem to be getting adequate fuel to the front fuel bowl and wouldn't idle. So that being said the car is being sold as a non-running car. So you must consider this when considering in shipping. We will also include a custom madecar hauler for the Lamborghini in this sale if needed to.
The engine is a Chevy 350 Twin Turbo Charged 010 by Banks and ahigh nickel block, competition cam 260H, holley carburetor built to perform with the turbos. There is information on them in the folders. All of the Coolant pieces are done in stainless steel (tig welded). it had twin radiators with electric fans, all done to the spects of the real one.Information in the binders indicate the engine with all that has been done to it should produce 600HP.
The rebuilt transaxle is a PANTERA ZF-2 5 speed. It uses heavy duty spicer axles and joints. The receipt shows that the original builder paid $2,200for it back in the 80's. A rebuilt one today is selling for $8,000, and new is $13.500.
The frame is an outstanding tubular space frame of which there are factory photos of it in the binders.
The suspension is fully independentwith tubular A arms, corvette spindles, corvette brakes with stainless steel sleeves, quad coil over shocks in the rear and single coil over shocks in the front. The shocks themselves cost over $1,200 in the 80's according to the receipts.
The steering is power rack pinion. I believe with a Cadillac steering column (Definitely a GM column for sure).
The body is hand laid fiberglass built to exact Lamborghini specs. The body is in red primer and needs final prep work before it can be painted. It comes with complete headlight buckets and assemblies that need to be installed
The car comes with many new genuine Lamborghini parts.
-Genuine OEMLamborghini windshield, with factory radio antenna in the glass, still in the wood crate valued at $6,000. The crate measures 66"x48"x22"
-Many new Lamborghini parts still in packages (badges, ect. ) as seen in photos
-Way too many parts to list separately
-The gauges are Lamborghini
-New tires, not yet on the car.
I have receipts for the new Lamborghini parts and it seems most were purchased from a Lamborghini dealer in Arizona.
The wiring harness is intact but not completely hooked up.
This is a project car that DOES NOT RUN and needs finishing. It is a high end kit car with a lot of money invested with a lot of worth and a lot of genuine Lamborghini parts.
Please consider your shipping costs for the car and the many boxes of parts as well as the large wooden crate with the windshield.
