Take a look at this pretty rare 1988 Jeep Cherokee2 door 4x4 with the "Chief" trim package.This one is powered by the Power-Tech 4.0 6 cylinder and backed by a 5 speed manual transmission.It starts right up,runs and drives good down the road.No known leaks or smoking.The clutch has been replaced recently and feels fine.The NP231 four wheel drive engages properly.The battery appears to be newer also.The fuel pump was replaced with aftermarket unit but the gauge is acting erratic.All the other dash gauges including tachometer and speedometer work properly.It is equipped with A/C, ilt steering wheel,delay windshield wipers and a AM-FM stereo CD with detachable face.It also has a rear wiper/washer and rear defogger feature.The cloth seats and carpeting is very clean and looks great! The dash pad and door panels are in very nice shape and damage free! The headliner needs to be replaced,the fabric is removed but the board is still installed.The glass has been lightly tinted and it has the side vent windows and roof rack.The clean body is RUSTFREE and looks very good for its age.The Colorado Red paint looks good but does have the typical desert oxidation and dings for being 27 years old! The floors,rocker panels and frame are rock solid and rustfree also! The tires have good tread and are mounted on nice factory Jeep aluminum wheels.The factory jack is underneath the rear seat and a matching aluminum wheel with nice spare tire along with cover is mounted in the luggage area.
