1978 Jeep CJ-7 Resto-Mod (VIN J8F93AH065508)July 2024The Jeep was bought in 2010 and was restored. However, it has been in a constantstate of improvement ever since. It has been repainted once in 2022. All rust issues,which were primarily limited to the drivers floorboard, have been repaired. Theunderside of the Jeep is undercoated. Surface rust on undercarriage is not consideredsignificant. A Bestop Super Top provides protection from the elements. All externalfasteners, vents, bumpers and mirrors have been replaced with stainless steel pieces.American Racing Outlaw II wheels and Cooper 31 inch tires (6/20) are at all 4 corners.HID headlights improve night driving.It has a AMC 304 V8 engine, 3 speed manual transmission and 3.55 rear end. Theheads of the engine have been rebuilt and modified with Edelbrock AVS2 500 cfm 4-barrel carb and intake manifold and Hedman Elite Ceramic Coated headers. Front andrear brakes have been completely rebuilt. In 2017 the entire drive line was rebuiltincluding transmission, transfer case, clutch and differential. The Jeep has powersteering and manual brakes. It is equipped for towing.The interior sports Super Seats in the front and a Bestop fold and tumble rear seat. Aset of 6 Autometer gauges populate the dash with lots of stainless and billetcomponents as well. New front and rear seat belts have been added. A new 2024Kenwood stereo and two dash speakers provide the tunes. Quadratec custom floormats protect the front floor boards and the area under and behind the rear seats. Floorsare coated with bed liner material. All systems work and the vehicle is in very good condition. There are only 15,000 mileson the car since the initial restoration in 2010.
