NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a nice 1986 Jeep CJ7. It runs, drives, and stops well. It has a 258 cubic inch inline 6cyl motor that runs well. The motor was replaced with a brand new long block about 20 years ago. The motor has a small leak around the valve cover gasket as well as a small exhaust leak where the header mounts up. This does not seem to affect the performance. Power steering works well but it needs a new return hose (the one on it now is weeping fluid through it slowly). The hoses and belts need to be changed as they are usable but showing some age. Recently, the Jeep received a new clutch, flywheel, starter, and bell housing (bell housing had some stripped bolt holes where the starter mounts and so the best option was to replace it altogether). The new clutch is nice and smooth and the Jeep shift through all 5 gears and reverse with ease. The 4-Wheel drive is all there and in working order.The body is very solid with the exception of the 2 rust spots that are pictured. The floors are solid. There is one dent behind the license plate (pictured) but there is not rust there. The frame is in very good condition with minimal rust.It has a new bikini top and the seats are usable but not in new condition. No hard top or doors.The headlights work, but at the moment the brake lights and blinkers do not. It has a push button ignition. You turn the key to on and push the button to crank it.The Jeep has 33” mud tires that are showing age and are very loud on the road. They all hold air and actually drive good, but they will need to be replaced before too long.The windshield has cracks and pecks and will need to be replaced unless you’re ok with a broken windshield.Overall this is a very solid old Jeep and would make someone a nice driver as is.I have tried to tell all I know about this Jeep, but I’m sure I left something out, so please ask any and all questions before bidding.I will accept a check for the Jeep but please understand that all funds must clear before the vehicle leaves my yard.Thanks and good luck!!
