Description:

1984 Jeep CJ

Selling a 1984 CJ7 with 5 speed manual transmission.
Body is nice, but has three or four original dings in the steel. I pictured those. Body has been finished in a charcoal metallic bedliner and is in good shape. The original windshield frame was too rusty to save, but I still have it and it can be sent with the jeep (blue). I have a replacement frame (black) for the jeep and it is pictured on the jeep above. It is currently not on the jeep, as it needs glass. I do not have glass to include.
There are four like new 33'' goodyears and white wagon wheels. I do have the spare and the mounting bracket, they are included and not pictured. It is the same tire, new, mounted on the same white wagon wheel for a total of five nice tires and wheels.
The jeep runs good. I oftentimes will drive it 20-30 miles on some weekends. With the lift and the tires, it doesn't drive ideally like a new vehicle, but it drives well enough to take it places on nice roads, around town, etc. This summer, it wouldn't start one day and I replaced a rotten looking negative battery cable and the starter solenoid. It also has a new battery this summer. It has been starting and running well. It has a newer alternator, starter, and many other parts. Newer radiator, cooling fan, etc. The guy before me did a ton with it during Covid quarantine when off work.
I have the backseat for it also, and believe it is fairly new. It is still in plastic in a spare garage.
Many of the gauges have been disconnected or aren't working. The important ones, like engine temp gauge and the speedometer/odometer ARE WORKING & functional. Radio, heating, cooling, etc. have been disconnected/not replaced. It does not have a top and comes with the tube doors. It has always been kept in a garage, heated in the winter.
Issues to note** I drove it a few weeks ago and it wouldn't shut off when I turned the key off. I stalled it to shut it off, unhooked the battery, let it sit for a week & have driven it several times since then with it starting and shutting off as normal. I was informed this could be a bad ground, an alternator back feeding current (needing a diode installed), or signs of ignition switch starting to go bad. For now, it starts and drives like it should. I just wanted to include this information for full transparency.
I have a clean INDIANA title. I have paid money to run the VIN and it comes out clean. I was told a rancher owned this vehicle in Tennessee for about 30 years, from new. It was not plated for a long time, decades, as it was a ranch vehicle. Any hiccups on a title search are from this period. The vehicle has a clean title and no issues of theft, rebuilding, wrecks, etc. Serious buyers, I'm happy to show you the clean title and provide you the VIN report I purchased.

Buyer is responsible for arranging a responsible shipper to pick up vehicle. I would advise not to drive this home unless you are within 20-30 miles or so due to Indiana weather, lack of windshield/top, and it being a 1984.
Cash on pickup or money wires, bank to bank, are acceptable. Cashier's checks may also be accepted, but I need all payments to clear prior to shipping the vehicle.
